"My gentle and gentle beast." True love works great miracles. That's great. A great movie I really liked it. When I started watching it, I felt like I was seeing something familiar, that I had seen the story somewhere before. In fact, by the middle of the film, I remembered watching it in the late 90s. After that, I somehow did not meet him, but the incredible love story of the bandit and his hostages was remembered forever. I can’t understand why there are no reviews for this film. Is there no longer people here who love not only modern Indian cinema, but also films of the past, very soulful, kind, a little naive, but so real and made from the heart?
I watched this movie again today. I am absolutely delighted and delighted. And it is not surprising with a director like Subhash Ghai, whose work I love and appreciate. He is a master of his craft, a great director. When he made movies, real life stories came out. And when his idea is embodied on the screen by such amazing actors, it turns out a real masterpiece, I will not be afraid of this word.
The brilliant cast: Jackie Shroff is incredibly good here. Young, cocky, hot. That's great. And his figure, muscles, his eyes, mm... just pump. Before he became an actor, he was a model. Such a brutal handsome man, it's just great. I fell at his feet and myself in the “headquarters”. I wanted to be in the place of Radhi and be kidnapped by such a bandit. I'd fall in love with him, too.
Minakshi Sheshadri as always great. She's so beautiful. I love this actress. I like all the movies. Always sincere, lively, trembling, all feelings are expressed in her eyes. Great. But the actor who played her father in the film, Shammi Kapoor, is not very fond. I don’t know why, but I’ve watched a lot of movies with him, I don’t like him. Plays well, often decent people, noble. But apparently there is something repulsive in him, not pleasant, which prevents me from accepting him.
Shakti Kapoor is always nice to see. Slender, fit, always elegant handsome. Even in the roles of villains is always attractive. And here he is again in a negative role. But it's perfect. A scoundrel in love, that's something. Bravo! And of course, without the main villain. Amrish Puri is always on top. Nasty and disgusting, not pleasant. I love Amrisha-ji, he's great.
But with special trepidation and respect I treat Sanjiva Kumaru. That's really an actor from God. For me, it's on par with Smitha Patil. Just as unique and unique. An actor of a special warehouse, there are no more such in Bollywood. I love Sanjiva-ji, just for what he is, or rather was in Indian cinema. He doesn’t even need to play, you just have to see his eyes for a moment and you understand the essence and all the power of this person. This is incredible.
And in general the film is very dynamic, at the same time touching and romantic. And the music is simply Divine, especially the melody played by the hero Jackie on the flute. I melted from this music. And the other songs are very gentle and lyrical. Once again appreciated for himself kinemotorgaf of India 80-ies of the 20th century. You won't see that anywhere else. I applaud standing up.
