A walking book? I was offered a visit. And why is that? Here we go. This is an old cartoon based on the root of Kipling's first story about a boy from the jungle. Filmed by the famous Chuck Jones. He created Willie Coyote chasing a peacock (we all watched those funny shorts). But back to the cartoon. To be honest, I didn’t like the movie. I watched both our cartoon and Disney. Our cartoon I took positively, Disney neutral for good humor, but this partial private negativity.
I found it too meticulous, as it contains repetitive long phrases and voiceovers. Why? Are children that stupid? The child is able to understand everything. All the more so, down to phrases, all according to the book.
The drawing is quite nothing, but it was annoying that the animals do not seem and do not feel fluffy, but as if naked and in folds. They are not large, but these folds are not necessary. Although I like the wrap around the eyes and on the lips with gums in animals.
Now the voiceover. I write first, characters later. If Chuck is such a legendary animator, he's too lazy to find voice actors. All one guy voices. That's true.
Now heroes. I'll start with the tiger. Well, he does not have that beastly nature and terrifying character and bloodthirsty... In this version, he's white and I don't dispute that he looks cool. But this is not accurate, white tigers do not live in India, Coyote is quite funny and funny.
The wolves. Oh! What have they done to them?! They look more like seals. Raksha Demon is weird. It does not have the ferocity and confidence of a fighter, as we have (in this cartoon her character is exactly like in the book, exactly), these phrases ala “killer of naked children, devourer of frogs and fish” are boring and say that they are said only by a frightened woman, and not by a warrior and ferocious and at the same time loving mother, worthy of being both the wife of a leader and the only leader. Akela generally speaks only as an adviser to the leader "look carefully and well, O wolves" and so on twelve times (as in the book). We showed him really as a leader, a leader and a great and noble warrior. Bagheera here the male who escaped from people is too arrogant and looks more like the victim who learned everything in his own skin. Mowgli doesn't look like a wilderness child, more like a groomed Count. They all seem to be named...
I compared our cartoon to a book, because sometimes the adaptation is cooler than the original. In general, you can see, but it is negative from the lack of atmosphere and energy, craving and passion.
