"Attack of killer beauties" If the Martians saw me naked, I would lose consciousness.
This film looks as if Kelly Bundy decided to reshoot ' Thelma and Louise' with money from Larry Storch's acting school, and the opening credits for her would be shot personally by Bud Bundy. The titles are really dashing - women's legs, breasts. Lace panties, Velcros with scruffy breasts ... the feeling that he chopped pornography. But that feeling soon fades away (at least in part). Perfect movie for a bachelorette party. Such a film can be included in the background, and in parallel to discuss men and paint nails. And this is not a reproach, but a real recommendation. The only thing that the picture does not have a decent translation in the network: Alekseev’s monoloque sounds deaf, as from a push. Sorry about my French. A good translation would not hurt this comedy.
The plot is simple: three girls run from the police, suspecting two of them in the murder of the owner of the nightclub. Director Anita Rosenberg (this is her only film work) is rapidly shifting her attention from one storyline to another and seems to ' the laws of drama' in the world of this film... sounds like a wild nuda. Anita’s attention jumps from chasing ala ' Smokey and Bandit' to beach youth melodramas. Storylines hang in the air, like Elizabeth Caitan’s attempts to dance professionally.
Problems with the carburetor are solved here with the help of forceps and hairspray, problems with self-esteem - with the help of bright sexual clothes (in the middle there is a single musical fragment with the participation of the main trio under the song Knight Time - I've Been Watching You, in which Elizabeth Kaitan is quite sexually undressed and dressed). The 80s of this picture are whipped with a stream and if anyone has ' Eightecostal starvation' - you can correct this misunderstanding with this film.
In general, nothing genius or masterpiece. But it's not necessary here. I read some scathing reviews on imdb - honestly, funny. It was like people were sitting down to watch Agnieszka Holland. It's Anita Rosenberg! It's a small budget. And here flashes the surname David DeCoto in the credits. Anything else to explain? This film is filled with humor and self-irony, there are very well and intelligently mounted moments, there are bright chips from the director: for example, the decision to give the heroines bad Spanish. When the girls arrive at a Mexican motel, one of them asks the receptionist for eggs. 'Do you have any eggs?'.'Hernandez has the biggest eggs in the country!' replies the administrator. You stupid? I think it's rusty. As well as the promise of a sequel in the finale titled 'Bimbo & BBQ'. In addition, in the role of a beach party there flashes the future director ' Diary of Memory' - Nick Cassavetes.
Well, an extra reason to remember the princess of the cult thrashack from the 80s - Elizabeth Kaitan, for which I saw this spectacle. ' Silent madness', ' Friday the 13th - Part 7', ' Beretta Island', 'Doctor Alien'... A good actress who has not lost her charm over the years (she could be seen in a documentary about Jason Voorhees in 2013 and she looked amazing there). She left the movies in the late '90s. It's time for Rob Zombie to bring her back.
