This film by David DeCoto can be called “intermediate”, when he still had the early immediate enthusiasm of a young comediographer, but he was already beginning to strive for a creative conveyor, shooting without the previous excitement. The director, even based on the talking title and poster, got the simplest script with a simple task to supply the trivial plot with a mass of eroticism in the spirit of Playboy magazine. Similar pictures came out and goes a lot, but only a small number is able to stand out from the one-faced direction of “bikini productions” with girls in swimsuits with silicone shapes. DeCoto managed to find his own key of the narrative, but to comply with the established rules of the game.
Despite the bed scenes dominating in timekeeping, shot in a very stereotyped and criminal way prevailing over the course of events, the story arouses a certain interest, being cheap, but funny fiction. It tells about a trio of aliens who decided to ride their starship. The fuel runs out, and they fly in, being in the midst of the beach season. From three blonde models with a center, whose level of intelligence has brought her to the world of porn, it is clear that waiting for acting talents will be a thankless affair. So the author began to get out, resorting to his old favorite topic with modest guys near the nimble girls, trying to fill the story with a funny, in a good sense, youthful atmosphere. The guys are trying to get miracle fuel to the guests, along the way clumsily caring for them, walking through beautiful beach landscapes, where light carefree music sounds, young people dance around and several comic situations are arranged. But most successful in the background adult layer of characters, trusted recognizable lyceums b-movie. Joe Estevez performs an unlucky uncle, resembling an eternal hippie or a boy, who does not want to grow old and grow up in his soul, and therefore afraid of the responsibility to confess her feelings for a longtime lover, played by Linni Quigley, who feels mutual sympathy, but being a strong-willed and businesswoman, is in a long conflict with her freedom-loving gentleman. A truly curious duo appeared in this couple, balancing between love and hatred, using contrasts: he stubbornly abstains and avoids reunion, preferring to meditate on the sand near his decrepit shack, and she, watching the spyglass from a luxurious villa, is absurdly jealous of every passer-by, because the beach is full of beauties. Actually, this storyline is logically complete, rather than the youth, promising a sequel, which will be released after.
In general, alas, eroticism shades comedy fiction, where there is not much humor, but the production is suitable for one-time viewing if you want to fill another gap in the work of David DeCoto or, say, in spite of winter frosts, plunge into a hot beach bikini sketch.
