Both eyes. There are not so many slashers about the New Year, and therefore those that are known to everyone who is seriously fond of watching slashers. One of those slashers is, "You better look both ways." On the one hand, the film is undoubtedly a classic slasher film. On the other hand, this is a shameful film, which I do not want to call a slasher for a number of reasons.
The fact is that there is no special massacre in this film. The number of murders in the film can be counted on the fingers of one hand. But the point is not even that: all the murders present are too tasteless and simple for the '80s, during which years some of the most famous slashers were published, who were distinguished by a very naturalistic display of scenes of maniac massacres.
In the case of "You better keep your eyes open," the first murder only happens in the second half of the film, which is inconceivable. The first half of us are told by good account unnecessary to anyone too long story of the life of the main character aka maniac in this slasher. At the same time, after watching the film personally, I did not really understand that the maniac prompted me to take the path of murder.
A slasher with a small number of unremarkable murders is an a priori extremely weak slasher that is difficult to advise anyone to watch. After watching it, even the most picky fans of the genre will remain dissatisfied. The film completely lacks dynamics, and if even for a minute to forget that we are watching a slasher, the same narrative line can only lull the viewer, but certainly does not represent any interest, because neither intrigue nor suspense film can boast.
The verdict. No one needs to burp under the guise of a New Year's slasher.
