Oh-la-la again. There is, there is, there is such a purely French, although the film community is not officially recognized genre (I have defined it, I recognize it, and I will insist on its “affirmation”!) genre “o-la-la”, which mixes elements of drama, crime (not necessarily), comedy, adventure in such an intricate cocktail combination, where one minute we grieve, another we are compassionate, and not the third at least we smile, or even just laugh. This genre is a purely French invention, reflecting the life, mood, temperament of the great and never despondent French people. If you try to translate the exclamation (and this, in fact, is!) “0-la-la” into Russian, then the closest and, I think, reliable translation will be “Well, that’s it!” Adventures, love intrigues, and everything else are harmoniously arranged here... on the only and most important condition – nothing truly tragic! Roughly speaking, easy (and not quite!) genre, but so attractive!
So the "Tender Target" is completely solved in this genre. I do not want to go into particular, since I began to theorize globally, but I think the film is quite a vivid example of the aforementioned genre. Such would be more (by the way, 20 years after the release of the “Tender Target” close to her “in spirit” and the level of paintings (available to our viewers) was shot... on the fingers to count... That's bad!
... But now I thought: in this genre, many paintings of other “countries and peoples” were shot. Not exactly, but... So he lives and thrives, crossing all boundaries and boundaries. Like, for example, the same "noir".
