In the not-too-distant future, the development of technology has led to the creation of intelligent cyborgs to help humanity. Someone used them for carnal pleasures, someone for hard work, but someone certainly wanted to make them an army of perfect murderers! Probably, these robots would have walked the earth if not for Matt Ricker, a desperate mercenary and conqueror of women’s hearts.
If after these words you thought that I somehow wrongly try to retell the plot of “Blade Runner”, then you are mistaken. The Mutant Hunt is either a parody or a low-budget version. That’s only for 5 years of difference, the latter managed to degrade so much that without tears and do not look at this action. The worst thing about seeing the whole movie is, of course, fighting. They are so ridiculous and inconclusive that they only cause laughter. Rivals move like in slow motion, between blows they make a breather in a few seconds, and if someone is knocked to the floor, then the victim prefers to regain strength and lie down for 10 seconds, because fights with cyborgs are so exhausting! All these fights are very long and accompanied by classical electronic music of the time. That's just the melody for the film was written only one and when during an unbearably long fight it was over, the sound engineer did not put it again. There is nothing to say about the plot, of course, it is ridiculous, but it does not cause irritation. But in all this darkness there was room for exactly two bright rays. The atmosphere of the future in the film is pretty good. It has all the basic components: dark streets, punks, drugs, slums. A classic vision of the future of that time. It is also worth noting good special effects. Robots are made qualitatively, under the torn skin you can see all sorts of tubes, wires and a metal skeleton.
In general, the film causes only negative emotions. A terrible production kills any desire to watch this film. Suitable only for lovers of robots, the benefit of the film is short and goes only 75 minutes.
