Chandni, o mere Chandni... It's a pity that you won't write in Hindi here (the Devanagari script is not written here), especially the words of the main song "Oh my Chandney" (Chandni, o mere Chandni...), the film was revised yesterday, and the song is still singing, in my head spins. Very cute, touching film, late 80s of the last century. At the wedding of relatives Chandney to get acquainted with the rich Rohit. For them, it is not a problem that they are from different social strata, young people still want to tie the knot, but relatives of Rohita do not like the social inequality of young people. Soon Rohit becomes disabled due to injury, now he is ready to give up his beloved.
Lunar-faced beauty Sridevi, so young, dazzling, chic. I love her in this movie and she makes it very interesting. Rishi Kapura I always love it, at any age, in any role. And now that he is no longer in this world, when he is gone, I somehow began to treat his roles more reverently and more carefully. Here he is at the age when he entered the height of his talent. Strict handsome Vinod Khanna is also great. It is always a pity for his character in this film, he is not lucky in love. Very tragic role.
In general, the film is beautiful, Sridevi’s dancing alone is worth what, and her huge eyes and luxurious hair will drive anyone crazy. Now, when I watch this movie, it always hurts my heart that this beauty is no longer with us. I feel sorry for her. And in 2017, Vinod Khanna left. Another diamond fell from the necklace of Indian cinema.
A great movie in the best traditions of Indian melodrama. Beautiful famous actors, subtle play, love experiences. Everything is according to the law of the genre. Again, I enjoyed watching, worried, sympathized with the heroes. In short, completely immersed in the plot. Three legends: Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna and Sridevi. It is sad that none of them are with us anymore.
The film looks with soul, pleasure. I watch and watch this movie all the time. Because I love Shridevi, I consider her a standard of female beauty, modesty. Femininity pours out of it, every look, every movement, and the voice is just worth seeing. That's what a woman should be. My favorite scene from the movie is where she rides on the bus remembering everything and the song begins. Each role is unique and unforgettable.
I think this film is very lifelike. The director of the film - Yash Chopra shot a picture that will be relevant for all time. The problems are quite serious in it. And a few of them.
First, the relationship between husband and wife in times of hardship and misfortune. Well, a tragedy happened to her husband, became disabled, but why humiliate his wife? She tries as best she can, supports him, tries to distract from unpleasant thoughts, and most importantly loves him as before. Why do you have to be so rude as a bastard? Why trample and insult her feelings? At Rishi it was great. I can’t stand how much I watch this movie. Just like that, I want to hang a slap from all over, so that I come to myself and stop splashing fever.
The second is the relationship between the boss and the subordinate. This is also not easy, especially if the boss is a rich, lonely middle-aged man, and also a widower, and the subordinate is a young beautiful woman who makes her head spin. And this relationship is built in a complex, gradual way. Chandney still loves Rohita and will always love him. But the person who loves her also does not want to cause pain and refuse. And then comes the moment of choice complexity. And when the difficult choice has already been made, Rohit appears again, who came for his Chandney, hoping that she would forgive him, after he had done something mean to her. It’s the most intense moment in the whole movie, and I just watch it every time I die (although I know what decision Chandney will make in the end), and I still hope for the best. Anyway, the ending is insanely touching. And what amazing dances were performed Sridevi, just a look. I think that my love for Indian cinema, which has been going on since childhood, will never end and will remain with me until my last breath. It seems to be the only time in my life that I can say “this love is eternal.”
Chandni is one of the best Indian films. It is included in the golden fund of Indian cinema (and this is an indicator, like our Soviet cinema from the State Film Fund of Russia), it will be loved and watched by many generations of viewers, fans of Indian cinema. I definitely recommend watching this movie. Beautiful actors, interesting and instructive plot of the film. They will not leave anyone indifferent. All fans of Indian films are advised to watch the film "Chandney", film, when watching which I always cry, without stopping, a film that you want to watch again and again.
Chandni, me tere Chandni...
