School isn't so good. For some reason, it was from the second issue that the cycle about three frogs on VHS with Soviet cartoons, which I had as a child, began. And what then, that now the second issue seems to me not too successful, and more importantly - not too necessary. The Three Frogs did not need any sequels. At least not in the same way.
What is the main advantage of the first issue? We were shown an exciting journey and the desire of the heroes for a new, beautiful life. The message of the second issue is not so obvious and raises many questions. The events take place in the school office. There is no more travel, only the idea that life is ripe for change. After imagining that school would make them better, the frogs are confronted there with frightening images. And before us is almost a unique cartoon, which condemns the Soviet school. The idea, of course, is bold, but the meaning is too vague. How bad the school is, I don’t know. Perhaps the director was referring to the unfriendly environment in educational institutions, since the parrot in the cage pronounces not too pleasant phrases. And perhaps the meaning in the system itself, which is time to change. Considering the message is not so easy, because in the foreground we have the ridiculous adventures of three frogs, one of which, unfortunately, speaks in a changed voice.
The second issue of Three Frogs seems to be the first cartoon in my life where I noticed a serious blunder: passing a nest (artificial, most likely), a frog in blue shorts utters two phrases in some foreign voice. Perhaps this is the real voice of an actor who forgot to process. Looking at the cartoon now, of course, I notice another blunder, no less serious: a very unreliable skeleton of a pike with straight ribs and a completely irregular skull, which is more like a dog's skull. And this despite the fact that the first part pleased the audience with gorgeous scenery! It is also surprising that the frog in the hat is a boy, although his voice is female.
The oddities of the second issue are so perplexing that I only give a positive assessment for the breakdancing scene. It is gorgeous, although I do not understand where the tape recorder came from in school.
