Dereza-gogogoz "Ah, you bastard!"
© Reaction to the dirtyness of Dereza
Many Soviet cartoons of the 1980s suffer from a lack of timekeeping. We also got "Dereza" in 1985. Everything here is great - animation, voiceover ... But for 9 minutes, the characters do not have time to reveal themselves fully, which makes the narrative look ragged. If there is a director's version, then this is definitely one of the best films of Soyuzmultfilm!
Why are goats and goats used as insults and even insults in Russian culture? Maybe it's their sharp horns. Maybe in the distant past, someone lived like this Dereza? Then it makes sense. The plot of this cartoon is somewhat reminiscent of the full-length film "Guardian" 1970. And there and then the main character / heroine arrives in a new place of residence, where he wants to rest and only relax... until a certain event. Only in the case of Dereza, things quickly fall into place. She's a goat, after all.
It was a good idea to add some fun songs to the movie. They are few, but they are incendiary, like in a real village disco! Can these two words be combined with each other? If you take all the events figuratively, then in Dereza clearly guesses the uncouth girl of a new generation with manners that the Soviet Union did not yet know. But much more surprising is the secondary rabbit, which can help in the village. Roosters serve as living alarm clocks, goats can milk milk, and rabbits only chew everything. It would be more logical to see in his place a pig or, more pleasantly, a cat. Maybe my grandparents love rabbits? It is also unclear why the rooster in the key scene is speechless. Maybe he was shocked and... stop, which is a good excuse. Okay.
Dereza is shown as a versatile personality who has flaws, but there are also advantages. And if only a couple of minutes of extra scenes, it would look convincing. Without them, there is no feeling that the foster family (otherwise you can not say) managed to feel pity for the new resident. Time does not play the last role here.
But anyway, "Dereza" is a fun cartoon that is definitely worth watching. Just to smile again.
