Incorruptible eternity and aesthetics of the soul in the art of puppet films Sokolov. Incorruptible eternity and the aesthetics of the soul in the art of puppet films Sokolov.
That's the title of my topic today. It's a bit long, but I get it. Feeling like an artist-animator can be different. It's the Master. Artist and director Stanislav Sokolov.
In "Soyuzmultfilm" was in the mid-60s, studied originally - drawing animation in the studio of director Ivanov-Vano (whose name still thunders, a mastodon of Soviet animation technique), worked in the team of director Andrei Khrzhanovsky (also, the site has his masterpieces, please, on the page with his name, you can see), then found himself at the puppet studio of Vadim Kurchevsky (one of the wizard artists, the Creator of the volume-doll "atmospheric picturesque environment"). When you feel your artistic capabilities confidently, professionalism is very high, you work calmly in time, there is a delightful opportunity to look for the cup of the Grail in the souls of wooden dolls created from communication with each other.
“What is there under the mask?” she desperately sought to find him, once she saw him, and from that time she did not give up. Although it was clear that such dolls to try to meet either Kurchevsky or his closest colleagues. Sokolov, of course, Sokolov. "Hofmaniad" in all possible variations is also his offspring.
"What's under the mask?" is not a spoiled masterpiece. The classically picturesque puppet part and the dialogue of the two, for the first time watched, seemed to be friends. The artist invited a friend to watch his work, the friend, seemingly, but demonically critical, thinks globally. But the Author, the Artist, needs him, he is easy with him in dialogue, and his dolls behave unexpectedly difficult.
The acting part was played by Arkady Borisov and Dmitry Alperov, the famous duet of circus clowns.
The artist was played by Arkady Borisov.
Stanislav Mikhailovich Sokolov is currently the head of the Department of Animation and Computer Graphics of S. A. Gerasimov VGIK. I will continue with pride and admiration for his participation in the most interesting projects.
