Solid, tightly "shot down" mini-series The problem with most film adaptations is the inflated expectations of viewers and reviewers familiar with the source.
Let us recall at least the indisputably outstanding film trilogies ' Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit'. If the first was criticized for missing a considerable number of important episodes and even storylines, then the second - on the contrary, was criticized for introducing new characters and plot moves into the film version, including even the "Love Triangle" & #39; which Tolkien did not have!
And that did not prevent both trilogies from receiving numerous awards, including 'Oscars'.
So is this miniseries. Reading the book of the Soviet children’s science fiction writer Ian Larry, he seems unlikely to suit, including meaningful.
I did not get to read the book, and my impression of the series is very good!
Firstly, the series was shot around the same time as it began to appear 'Masha and the Bear'. It is also in a three-dimensional graph! Here, however, there are discrepancies in the dates - everywhere the 2005 year of the creation of the mini-series is indicated, while in the credits of the final, 6th series, 2011 is indicated. But that’s not so important.
Secondly, the plot develops without any noticeable sagging, interest in it does not weaken during the viewing process.
Thirdly, the characters of the characters are worked out quite convexly, including ' episodes' (Schmidt, grandmother). They do not look like statisticians.
Fourth, the film is really informative. The book was written by the author for the same purpose. And in this regard, the mini-series is very even winning, for example, compared to the already full-fledged animated series ' Niels'. After all, the book by Selma Lagerlöf ' The Wonderful Journey of Niels Holgersson in Sweden' was created precisely as a guide, and the series ' Niels' turned out not even entertaining and informative, but adventure and entertainment. The creators of this mini-series managed to avoid sliding into pure entertainment, preserving, along with the adventure line, a full-fledged cognitive message in terms of getting acquainted with the world of insects.
Fifth: the soundtrack here is really good, which is only the music of Gioachino Rossini performed by an accordion and some folk instruments.
Sixth: Professor Enotov is voiced by the most famous scientist/professor Nikolai Nikolayevich Drozdov! whose voice is known to millions.
The flaws. The main thing is the tightness of the screensaver, that's it. It was enough for the creators to insert the actual process of reducing children (at least for 2-3 seconds) into the screensaver to make the screensaver look reasonable and interesting animated illustration that introduces events and allows you to watch the series from any series, not only from the first.
Well, the tearfulness of children (when they are thirsty) looks too playful and excessive, a banal whining would look more natural here.
In general, for viewing - recommended! (only 6 episodes / series)
