Just two copies of Madhuri Dixid in one film! It seems that in this house there are not people, but angels. They care so much about each other’s feelings.
Same 93 years. Akshay continues to star in action films and light romantic comedies, but for a change tried to try on the role of a soldier. In my opinion, this film does not fall into the category of must see for non-fans. Well, connoisseurs of Akshaya should see it, because there will be something that will please them.
Sainik is a military man. Oh, the heavy share of the military ... that's about this hard part and actually the film itself. And Akshai in this film in form in a literal and figurative sense. The plot is simple: "Saw, fell in love, married, went on a mission, crying." Moreover, in the second part of the second series, his absence is very noticeable. But what he shows in the first, pays for everything. There is also his crown action, there are things that only he could do: for example, the moment when it was necessary to “hang” between the walls in the corner of the room, resting against the walls with his legs and back. Without ropes and auxiliary elements... How can you do that?
The first part looks very easy, a lot of funny and romantic moments (for example, Akshai in the dress of a nun in the hostel, then even a spectacle). It all begins with a demonstration of the stupidity of the entire police department and of course all this is prevented by one brave and intelligent warrior in the person of Akshay Kumar. Then they added a couple of unnecessary characters with stupid jokes, and why they didn’t even explain it. As Akshai’s beloved Ashwini Bhave, as his sister Minnie Farhin. Both the first and the second are copies of Madhuri Dixid, only the first higher, the second lower.
I really liked Anupam Kher as a loving father and father-in-law. The situation in their family, of course, at the end, was absurd, but, on the other hand, what can not do for the sake of loved ones. And the most powerful scene for me personally was the one where the father of Suraj (Anupam) after he was informed of the death of his son, did not fall down, did not get hysterical, but took himself together as the eldest in the house and threw his son’s things into the well so that his daughter and pregnant daughter-in-law did not suspect anything and thought that their Suraj was alive. And could weep and beat his head against the wall and demand all the attention to himself.
According to other characters, this is probably one of the first films with Ronit Roy. It is so unusual to see him young, plump and cheeky! I like this colorful song by Farhin and Ronita Roy. And the rest are all sorts of sloppy-pulling-experiencing. For most of the film, everyone cried and suffered. And yes, I would like a brother like Akshay.
As a result, it turned out to be a good film for the year of its release, all in the traditions of the 90s. Even if the translation is not so emotionally-squeaky-wrong, and the impression would be even better.
