Life is a kaleidoscope, situations change with the speed of pictures in this bright trumpet. I love Indian cinema to infinity. I can't pinpoint the exact amount of my love for him, probably not, because I love him absolutely everything, indiscriminately. It's always in my life. And drama is a special film genre, which always stands at the highest stage of film production. And South Indian dramas in general are special, they have so much realism and real life that it is difficult sometimes to believe that you are watching a feature film, and not a documentary filmed by an amateur camera, about the lives of real people in India.
I watched it yesterday...I’m still leaving. I don’t even know if I can say anything intelligible about the film...It made a lasting impression on me.
The world is like a kaleidoscope. One picture replaces another, and everything is so bright, so colorful. When you look into a kaleidoscope, it is as if you are immersed in another reality, you forget about the grayness of everyday life, about everything. Kaleidoscope is like magic, melting hope for something new, and most importantly - eternal. You may be wondering, what about the kaleidoscope and the film review? I would also say that there is no connection here. But... so I thought before watching "Bazar Street".
I don't know why, but remembering all these shifting kaleidoscope pictures, I got the feeling that something else was hidden behind them, namely reality. So in life we see only the beautiful, bright, but alas, we do not notice the real life. This topic can be discussed indefinitely, and still not find the answer to the question: "Why one - everything and the other - nothing?". And I’d rather move on to the film, which prompted me to think a little, to speculate.
India. We all believe that India is a country of dreams, a land of fairy tales and magic. Why do we watch Indian movies? First of all, because of the beautiful songs, the dancing, and because of the brightness. But here I was watching "Bazar Street". And as soon as the title of the movie came out, I suddenly had my heart pinched, I don’t know what it was. Continuing to watch further when the main characters appeared, a smile appeared on my face. I saw children, namely children, spontaneous and so happy. Their play at the stop is so laid-back, so childish, I was just fascinated and I felt like I was watching the movie for good reason. Their love touched me from the very beginning and from that moment I began to think about my review.
The life of the main character before meeting the heroine is normal, when I saw this shack in the heart something stinged. Lingu (which for some reason our translators, voicing the film, persistently called Shiva), that is, Mahesh, the same as any other guy who is good at exams in school, and waiting for his results. Fate takes a huge turn in his life when his father dies in an accident. Because of this, the responsibility for caring for the family falls on the shoulders of Lingu, and he can not continue his further education, and to earn bread for his family (mother and two sisters, with whom he is now the only breadwinner), he goes to Chennai, with his friend. On the first day, he realizes that he is in hell.
The film vividly shows how in such places people are treated like a flock of sheep. But his responsibilities to his family are holding him back. He meets Kani (Anjali), and love gradually blossoms between them. How these two cope, how they deal with their boss, and what happens to their love is the rest of the story.
I have not yet seen it, I have already brought to the treasury masterpieces. The film is exciting and impressive. The main characters had many difficult trials, they went through many, but they survived because they were with each other. A very high-quality, strong film about life. I love South India and South Indian cinema with all my heart. This is a very strong film emotionally. It's worth seeing. It's so emotional.
The film is incredibly exciting! From the very beginning, this romance... Heroes fell in love right away. And then all this hell, in other words, I can not call, made me worry seriously. So touched the dwarf and his wife, and how murderously correct were her words about his son... and that blind old man... Good man. But most of all I remember the look of my grandmother from the temple. It only flashed for two seconds on the screen, but it had such a profound effect on perception. I really liked her. And the finale. It's something... You have to see.
This is a very powerful film.
What a great movie, sad, strong, heavy, light, cheerful, hopeless and optimistic at the same time, adult and childish, and hard, and hitting the head with a cruel reality.
The film crawls into the soul from the first frames, drags the viewer into this atmosphere, and as if you live next to the main characters - cry, rejoice, worry and have fun. How is it possible that in a dark and hopeless atmosphere a flame of love is desperately and stubbornly shining? So small and feeble, but he is stronger than all the forces of evil combined. The film strikes first of all with its realism - everything is perceived absolutely organically and causes almost physical pain, because you believe everything that is shown here. . .
I've never felt so much about a movie. To return to my comparison with the kaleidoscope, in this film, emotions changed as instantly, and even uniquely, as pictures in a kaleidoscope. It's something.
I will not say anything about the ending, it is beyond my power. I will only say that I am glad that despite all the difficulties, all the sorrows that fell on these two, they are happy, and when the credits went, tears covered their eyes and their heart burst to pieces.
What will I say at the end of my review? "Bazar Street" - True film, without tinsel, without pretense. It’s definitely worth watching . I tried not to miss anything, I don’t know how much I did. Unfortunately, I can not convey all the emotions in the review (just space is not enough), but I will say one thing: look!
