It’s a long-forgotten movie, and even Imdb doesn’t write much about it. Meanwhile, the film deserves close attention and translation, because it does not have a domestic translation.
After the atomic war, 92% of the population died. The remaining population is weak and almost barren. Therefore, robots help them survive. At first, these were ordinary robots, but gradually, people began to make them more like people, cyborgs, so that they became not only full assistants but also family members, and some for whom spouses. Cyborgs have a bald head and a green face.
There's a volunteer organization called Fire and Flesh that makes sure that cyborgs don't become completely human-like and replace humans. The main character is very concerned about this problem and does not trust cyborgs at all, and then, as bad as spite, her sister began to cohabit with one of them. Meanwhile, from the beginning of the film, we see that the hero is right, cyborgs are busy implanting their chips in the corpses of the dead, with the help of a corrupt doctor.
Good movie. First, real science fiction about what the future might be like, which is a rarity for that time. In general, with the exception of the textbook Time Machine, I don’t remember movies like this from the 50s, early 60s (and beyond the time barrier). Plus a very clever plot. It was the first appearance of cyborgs. A good scenario where everything goes upside down at once. I recommend that I like it. One problem, as I wrote, is not on our mighty, but if you include the translation of subtitles on Yu-Tuba, 99% of the film will be clear.
