Pretty much the same thing. It seems that this, quite good in visual effects and shooting, and partly in acting (old, in the literal sense, Malcolm McDowell, starring in a cameo role, which he constantly does, earning on butter sandwiches, including in Russia, his charm and acting skills “removed” all the other ... um... actors) as if the Canadian TV movie, as it is positioned, turned out to be very good for its audience and formatted “niche”. Although, in fact, this is nothing more than a substantially remade remake of the old Hollywood and eponymous film of the sample of 1984, which was shot “under the patronage” (executive producer) of Carpenter himself (see the film page). Because the essence and ideas are still the same (I send you to see the "source"). No surprises, no disappointments either. A "detente" film for one evening after a hard "working day" in the family circle. That's what it's all about.
