Kindergarten Major Baranov. On our TV you can find a lot of adaptations of foreign TV series. This is already a familiar and quite normal thing, practiced all over the world. But as it turned out, our TV operators are not so simple and capable of more. No, we are not talking about original domestic shows, which are also enough, but about adaptations of famous and beloved Hollywood hits. This time the victim was comedy action movie Iven Reitman"Kindergarten policeman" in the lead role.
To begin with, the plot is undergoing significant changes, but the basis is still recognizable enough that there is no doubt about where the legs of this creation grow. The characters and circumstances are somewhat different, which does not prevent the plot from moving in the same direction. Of course, along the way, we are given moments that represent the very adaptation , seemingly appropriate, but completely ordinary. Although we must admit that the chief. scoundrels in our version is more real than Reitman, at the same time, his story is simply fabulous. At the same time, we have a simplification that does not particularly facilitate the picture, perhaps because, getting rid of some storylines, the writers introduced their own, not to say more meaningful and fascinating. In the end, the time of the film, compared to the original, was reduced by only 10 minutes. Our leaders also had an important advantage, and maybe not one. Kindergarten Policeman was released 20+ years before their film and is somewhat outdated. It still looks great, but today it’s a little different. Also not to say that the acting was there on top, i.e. the chances, if not to surpass the American film in this, then at least to keep the bar were, and considerable. As a result, we are fed a completely standard television film for pennies, where a couple of actors still somehow play back, and the rest are not so convincing. I have nothing against Makarov, on the contrary, but there is simply no chance against Schwartz , at least 10 times replay him. As for the children, they are inconclusive here and there, but in the original, at least, there was no shame in watching them play.
After Epifantsev managed to embody the image of the character of Sly, Porechenkov and Makarov of the characters of Schwartz, and our craftsmen chose a simpler path and do not intend to stop, you can be sure that with a light movement of their hard hand, your favorite films will again turn into unremarkable projects of which thousands. To do this, too, perhaps a special talent is required. In addition, in this case it is again not an official remake, and brazen plagiarism. If we consider the film as an adaptation, it is not so bad, but it has lost all the charm of the original and in general it is not clear why it is needed, when such stories are well perceived in films of the past, but not in modern examples. Even if you suddenly prefer our cinema to foreign, there is always a better option.
