Another (possibly really last) adventure with computer crocodiles Crocodiles. Crocodiles, crocodiles, crocodiles. The “Lake of Fear” franchise fully paid tribute to these creatures, or rather their voraciousness and strength. In the fourth part, computer models of predators occasionally looked even believable, if you do not look at the picture, and the plot was still not so dull-tight.
However, like the two past parts that have ruined the fame of Lake Placid, this video gets the same appreciation from me. I will not be too lazy to explain briefly what...
That the actors again tried not on equal terms. If someone showed their feelings more or less tolerably, then someone else did not reach the norm or crooked - yes, the same Robert Englund, who quickly drowned by the end of his career in third-rate roles.
That crocodiles, despite the remark above, in other scenes, on the contrary, struck with unrealism, because which crocodile will not bite its victim: found in his mouth one way or another must be bloodied. Well, running around jumping ... Guys, funny and sad! Birds don't swim, sharks don't fly. What is the use of giving reptiles unnecessary functions? Just for the sake of a cheap move, how to quickly impress a simple viewer? What happens in such moments is like a bloody fairy tale, but not a quality horror story. And the blood also turns out to be too red in color, I apologize for this tautology.
That, in order to finish his work with the lack of elementary quality, the plot begins a rapid development only from the second middle, to which the fifth minute gives the viewer a laugh at what was described in the previous paragraph. In the “moments of calm” you are waiting only for chatter, the development of someone’s relationship, again chatter – in general, an unsuccessful deviation into unlearned melodrama. To top it off, the finale of the story is typical and severely beaten, for it has been seen a hundred times, no matter how amusing they try to show it to us.
The crocodile story is finally over, or at least that’s what I hope. For all the attempts to create horror, so ridiculously used here, the trifling film has not gone away. Yes, such films are suitable for recreation. Yes, you can laugh at them and hardly want to turn them off, because the plot involves all sorts of twists and turns, but... But there is no point in repeating the same thing from different angles, especially since films of this kind are forgotten immediately after watching, leaving no smile or sadness in the soul. Ordinary cheap fakes.
