I've seen it somewhere before. I don’t know how I watched this drama. Apparently, the sister’s convincing “Cool drama, you need to watch” did have an effect. And all 32 episodes (although it’s actually a standard 16, just half an hour apart for some reason) I wondered, “What am I watching?”
The plot is simple, but quite interesting. At least you constantly wonder what the heroes will do next, in what next ridiculous situation will they find themselves and in what trouble will they get? And yet you can give writers a maximum of 3 for dialogue, because I've never seen such nonsense before. No, I understand, of course, a lot depends on the translation, but when one hero says something, and the second either with a stupid look says “A?” or repeats what he just heard, here even double translations do not spoil things – what difference does it make, in Korean you heard an exchange of two phrases that does not contain any logic or in Russian voiceover.
Heroes. Throughout the viewing, I was haunted by the thought: “All this has already happened!” No wonder, because "You are beautiful" has become a classic. And even I, not being a fan of this drama, can say that the history of the group A.N.Jell was shot much better than the history of the group Take One. Won Kang Hvi is drawn from Jeremy. Lee Tae Ik is almost a copy of Hwang Tae Kyung (and why I am not surprised by the similarity of the first part of the name?). And then the question arises: why in a country where the names of companies and stores are retouched in episodes, and the word “iPhone” cannot be pronounced on the air, no one sues for plagiarism?
The main character, Chan Man Ok. Over the course of episodes 13, I’ve wondered: How does a stylist not understand what looks like a sheep with these curls? So she can pick up beautiful and high-quality clothes for two stars of the Korean wave, but it is not fate to look at herself carefully in the mirror? I would stay away from such a stylist. As soon as she changed her hair, then I immediately knew about whom her sister says, “Well, such a sweetie!”
The main character N1, Li Tae Ik. After "Pastas" I thought that I could not But Min U not to like outwardly, he is so handsome! But I was wrong. Because in this drama, even despite several scenes with a naked torso, the actor amazes with his thinness! He has a chic appearance, but in such a weight category and with such a disgusting hairstyle (and even about red eyebrows in general I keep silent), all this fades, he becomes like a girl. Once again I was convinced that I do not understand Korean fashion: to see tight pants on thin legs is beyond my strength, and the feeling of beauty beats in hysteria. Or in Korea ran out of all things made of natural fabric that the star can not pick up a decent wardrobe?
The protagonist of N2, Won Kang Hwi. There's nothing wrong with that. He was dressed beautifully, and from a radiant smile smoothed all the roughness of the acting game. Of course, almost the entire image is slithered from the above Jeremy, but this is more of a claim to the creators. Pak Ki-un Sweetheart, and I suspect the real reason that I did see this creation is precisely him, his amazing eyes and a charming smile.
The relationship between the three main characters. If in "You are beautiful" you see the efforts of Tae Kyung attempts to protect and help Mi Ne, and the opinion of him varies from "Scary, nasty and harmful" to "Fool, such a guy loves you, and you do not notice!", then it is completely unclear why Man Ok fell in love with Tae Ika. After this, you can definitely recall the lack of female logic and unrealistically evil love for all sorts of cloven-hoofed animals. This is the first drama in which I really feel sorry for the third extra, for which I was rooting with all my heart. Of course, the story of Kang Hwi is also fueling the fire, but according to all the events and everything that happened, any normal girl would fall in love with him, not with Tae Ika, who only knew how to yell, curse, malign, complain and cause a lot of problems. Someone will say, “He gave up the house for her!” I beg you! He just did what any self-respecting man should have done in his situation. And “Tae Ik, I love you, believe and understand that I must leave now” causes giggles, facepalm and the thought: “Explained in love, nothing to say!”
The situation with the house is generally ridiculous, and its resolution is outrageously idiotic. It is not clear what happened to Tae Ik's father, how the "Full House" went to director Lee Joon, and then completely ended up in the possession of U Ent. And what happened to the mother of the great Korean Wave star? By the way, her madness is not explained either.
Tae Ik’s resentment at his best friend because of the next “national badass” (where without these typical bitch stars?!). Is it not possible for the first to know the truth in 5 (!) years, and the second to ask why it is that he was taken up for this or that? But no, the two ex-friends continue to speak and work side by side, quarreling, swearing and blaming each other for all their sins. They worry about each other periodically, but it is so, rather out of habit.
I also didn’t understand the Take One soloist’s extraordinary abilities and his incomprehensible claims to Kang Hwi about “Your party is only a minute away!” I wonder how long should a rap party go in a 3-minute song? And I didn't notice any outstanding vocal data from Noh Min Woo. Kang Hvi's song and performance were much more liked.
Also, as in the story of "You're Beautiful", it is unclear why it was necessary to separately show the journalistic fans, even if one of them is the best friend of the main character (although with such a friend no enemies are terrible). A lot of airtime was killed on them, and they did not really play any significant role. I can only assume that this is another attempt to show the crazy Korean fans how stupid they look from the outside. Alas, how much do not show, and they do not want to behave differently.
As a result, I can say that my review turns green only thanks to the sunny smile of Pak Ki-un and a good main OST, however, remembered only by the end of the viewing. You will not see any outstanding acting abilities or any drama (not taking into account the story of the charming Kang Hwi). Don’t expect much romance either. All romantic moments, of which there were 5 pieces for the whole drama, were ruined by the actions of the heroes following these moments.
