The whole confinement zone is him. Pavel Zharkov made a significant step in creativity compared to what was in the debut. Once he made a terribly poor quality short film with his friend Vladislav Yermilov. Now he separated from Yermilov and moved not only to a more voluminous form of narration (the story with a fantastic background lasts an hour), but also worked well on the implementation. I have no complaints about filming and acting at all. Yes, the project is amateur and does not claim the Oscars. But during viewing, there is no feeling that the filmmakers are ineptly trying to present nonsense as something original and fresh. This is just an amateur movie, made well and not hitting thrash or art house.
However, his plot still spoils the impression, as it seems extremely confusing and murky. The creators try to put the details on the shelves, but quickly forget about the need to be clear to the audience, because they are too carried away by their idea. Scene after scene, what is happening loses its meaning, turning from entertainment into a piece of abstruse granite, which can only be broken by the viewer who is strained in attention. Why the rabble can only look at the minted people, acting out their scenes, in anticipation, if not clarity, then at least the soon end.
I hope that Pavel Zharkov will work on the mistakes, and if he decides to continue his beginning in directing, he will become more attentive to the plot subtleties.
