This is the best cartoon of 2013 and it is very kind and good and funny and watch all without exception and limitation and thank you for your attention and without offense.
This is a super cartoon for children and adolescents and parents and watch everyone but except the elderly and children under 6 years and thank you for your attention.
This is the best cartoon of 2013 it is beautiful and very kind and cute and super and simple and watch all but the elderly and children under 6 and thank you for your attention.
From year to year, we consistently receive a generous portion of animation projects of all stripes. Of course, not all of them can boast of a decent implementation, but there are enough successful examples. Even among the cartoons are simpler and cheaper, not Disney single, after all. Moreover, among these examples you can sometimes find very interesting creations.
Such at first glance could seem and "Free birds", which, thanks to localizers, came out as "Turkeys: Back to the future, which at first was a little embarrassing, but later I thought it was not the worst decision. Usually, such moves are tense, but in this case our title is much clearer. The translation of the original title, as well as the beginning of the cartoon itself, will remind more of some "Chicken Escape", when stupid at first glance "Turkeys:" Back to the Future" remind of the legendary trilogy and make it clear what the cartoon is about, because there is much less from "Escape from the Chicken Coop". This is partly disappointing, because initially you expect something like this, at least a little bit. Then the plot and the scene change dramatically, it seems that now something interesting will be, but there is no. And then they just put up time travel (I imagine the surprise of those foreign viewers who have not sufficiently familiarized themselves with what a cartoon is and went to the movies on Free Birds). Many people are tired of this topic, although personally I just love it, but here I was waiting for disappointment. Not to say that you had to expect too much from time travel, when you watched dozens of films on the topic, and therefore disappointed the chances are much less, but something clearly was not enough.
The plot, as could be understood from the above, is not very smooth, lacks more explicit consistency, and sometimes convincing. And the story itself could be much more fascinating, even based on those trifles of the cartoon that are and which the creators simply negated. From time to time, what happens makes you ask questions (I would not like to spoil) , why the cartoon seems weaker than it really is. It was interesting to find among the screenwriters Scott Mouger known for the works of Kevin Smith. He also wrote the animated series Clerks and one of the latest shows about Spider-Man. He later directed The Grinch.
Animation may be inferior to more expensive projects, but you do not want to find fault at all, everything looks very good.
To voice cartoon. characters called stars, which for our dubbing does not matter. We have two heroes voiced at once "Courage-Bambay" in the person of Denis Kolesnikov, and he does it with dignity. His voice is difficult not to recognize, but at some point doubts crept in for a second, because unlike more, let's say, personal projects "Courage-Bambay" here his voice is not so bulgingt, which surprised me a little.
Wanting to do something weighty, simultaneously combining (in a sense) two such topics (in fact, even more), the creators came out a good, but rather average, in many respects inferior to a considerable number of similar projects cartoon, which is weakly reflected as the theme of escape and the theme of time travel. The hit on the sequel seems completely unnecessary. Perhaps it would be interesting to look at such heroes in completely different circumstances. One view is up to my ears. In short, it does, but it doesn't catch. I must say that this is the case when the film is not lost and will find its audience.
There were mixed feelings after watching this movie. Personally, I was completely incomprehensible with the message or, if you will, the morality of the whole action.
What do we have? We have Reggie's turkey, who knows that farm turkeys are not really cute pets, but feed for homo sapiens, but no one believes in the power of a distant mind. As a result, Reggie turns out to be a pardoned turkey, learns what TV and pizza are and, in general, scores for the entire turkey family.
This retelling was necessary in order to depict a character who did not differ in heroic skills and did not want to save anyone. He was forced.
You could do a really interesting personality development in the cartoon, but in the end, sorry, Reggie did everything for the female. I was very disappointed by this motivation.
Another of these rather tangible disadvantages, I would like to note the blunt (and most naive) denouement.
There are advantages too, but I would not say that there are many. Good humor in some places, interesting characters of the leader, his son and Jake, a good bright picture.
If I were a kid, I wouldn’t want to see it again, and at my age I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Little-known cartoons, k'nbsp; regret. Part 4. Self-criticism of one holiday.
To be honest, I didn’t want to watch this movie at first. But after watching, I was surprised. And in a good sense of the word. This is one of the few cartoons about birds, made quite qualitatively and with an original idea.
Let’s start by criticizing Thanksgiving. I understand if the cartoon was shot somewhere in China, South Korea or European countries. But the fact that it was filmed in the US... Did the West find its critics of this infamous holiday? It seems that a portion of self-criticism will not hurt anyone.
The second thing I enjoyed was the characters. This is most likely the only cartoon where turkeys are depicted as cute main positive characters, rather than “ugly grumpy” as it usually happens. And the characters are much more cute than their real prototypes of the bird world. Take a look at the pictures of live birds.
The third is the idea to “change the past and change the future for the better.” I am very glad that this, most likely, unrealistic dream of mankind appeared in the cartoon for children. If you can not change the past in reality, at least it will change the characters of cartoons.
The fourth is an almost complete lack of vulgar humor (except in episodes where two big turkeys competed before a dance battle), which is unusual for an American-made cartoon. And the only vulgar joke was not emphasized.
Of course, the cartoon has its drawbacks like depicting people (in terms of character and appearance) and their monster-like dogs, as well as the fact that the girlfriend of the main character is stereotypical and not remembered. But the advantages in this case cover the disadvantages. The cartoon can be safely shown to children. He is moderately funny, dynamic and dramatic. This is the highest rating.
Five years old, I was transferred from a day-to-day kindergarten on the other side of town to a regular one near my house. It's like getting out of a special security prison, I guess. A nice place, private houses around, the owners of one of them kept every creature in pairs and looking at the improvised menagerie on the way home was a real pleasure. In the morning, they either did not have time to release them, or my eyes did not open, or maybe my mother dragged them into the garden by another road. But the abundance of poultry, especially exotic and even through the fence threatening, turkeys, inextricably linked with the end of daily walking formation and freedom.
Being a girl ungrateful and self-confident, but also coming from places that naive groupmates in a terrible dream would not dream of, a couple of months looked at the order, and then fled. Past those very turkeys, which seemed to cheer from behind the net (in general, quickly ran past them, were painfully scary). They returned in a few hours with the police and shame. This was the first experience of interaction with law enforcement agencies. And the first primitive experience of realizing that freedom comes at a higher cost than it might initially seem. It is not stolen for good.
I don't like cartoons. I don't like 3D. And in general, she tried to lure her daughter to the serious movie “Geographer Globes Propyl”. She flatly refused. I didn't get hot after the trailer, either. “Would you go to the turkeys?” he asked. The turkeys, yes, the kid answers. Because we both remember laughing during the commercial for this movie in front of one we saw recently. And we went.
We didn't regret it. Seventeen minutes in the beginning was hysterical. It's just fine. In the finale again funny and touching (in the best traditions). A turkey is really a free bird.
And I realized, by the way, became a conformist and in the preparatory group - an unheard of thing - played the Snow Maiden at the New Year's matinee (not that brilliantly).
I only know about Thanksgiving from American films. Well, I know. All the happy families of America gather at the table, thank everyone for everything and cover the table with various things, and in the center the main attribute of the holiday is a cooked turkey. That's how it works.
In the cartoon “Turkeys: Back to the Future” we will tell the story of a young turkey who was different from his stupid brethren from birth. The first half of the picture pleased me with well-built plot finds and very successful jokes. One second story can even be called original and interesting.
Funny becomes (for some reason) when terribly not shining mind or in other words just "stupid" and carries complete nonsense partner of the main character. This character, by the way, or rather, his story is the most Chutli not the most liked for all the time of viewing - very shrill and inspired. In other attempts to humour becomes only that funny, but no more.
The second part of “Turkeys” can not boast of originality and visuality on the part of the writers. It's a terrible pattern. You can predict every step and every line of each character. Everything that will be shown in the second half of the cartoon, we have already seen millions of times in thousands of other cartoons.
Unless it surprises the ending. There will be a couple of unexpected moments.
The animation is quite pleasant. It was a beautiful movie and the birds were great.
As a result, the cartoon “Turkeys: Back to the Future” is very, in itself, a tolerable and funny cinematic unit that makes you think about some things.
P.S.: The cartoon will appeal to the defenders of animals (turkeys).

Decent cartoon. The first thing that catches the eye is stuffed to the top with references to the famous blockbusters: “Armageddon”, “Superman”, with “Avatar” in general, many plot moves are slithered. There is a “bible for children.” What does not cut the eye - the tape is thoroughly humorous (and humor is mostly suitable), and ironic quotes look appropriate here.
Heroes of the second plan are extremely stereotypical (President, General, etc.), they could be more interesting to portray. The protagonists Jake and Reggie are also more types, colored templates than really interesting characters, but, fortunately, not to the point where stereotyping turns into a bad tone. Plus, they’re pretty (that’s supposed to be—I’ll admit, I only liked Jake). The plot, despite all the quotes, turned out to be deft and lively - does not let go in the middle, and thank you for that. A curious move with the Great Turkey at the end (although, to be honest, this balancing act over time looks blatantly illogical - even by the standards of a deliberately illogical fairy tale).
In principle, this can be discarded, since it makes no sense to subject a film product that performs an exclusively recreational function to any real analysis. Cartoons that manage to go beyond this feature (the best creations of Pixar, for example), “Turkeys”, of course, inferior, and the viewer, experienced in modern Western animation, is unlikely to impress. But to those who are not in the subject, who grew up on the cartoons of the “old hardened” and are sure that the grass was greener before, “Turkeys” are ready to explain that today everything is not so bad with this industry.

Even while watching the trailer, it becomes clear that the cartoon will not shine with a special hidden meaning or an instructive story. The writers bet on stupidity with a bit of humor, and in this film, such a “highlight” was able to leave the audience not indifferent. The cartoon does not load the brain with unnecessary information, it is perfect when you just want to laugh from the heart.
A painfully stupid, but unique story about turkeys who decided to save their family from the fate of the main dish for Thanksgiving, it is exciting, and you are ready to watch the cartoon until the very last second. A magnificent contrast of characters: intelligent but frail, Reggie's turkey and his unexpected partner in misfortune, combative and empty-headed representative of the turkeys, Jake. Perhaps this is the key point, it catches the viewer, because it is very difficult to understand how such different characters can be around for so long. And, of course, you are waiting for how it all ends.
It’s hard to find anything negative in cartoons, but unfortunately, there’s one “But!”: Our kids don’t know what Thanksgiving is. For them, this moment remains incomprehensible, saving only the fact that they quickly switch attention to the colorful birds on the screen and forget about it. But there is such a thing.
Well, if many American films we can't stand because of their strange humor, this stupidity was just right here. What children that adults this cartoon will taste, so
Cartoons are a product in the cinema of running. They collect the cash register, the viewer goes to them. You bet. After all, on the cartoon, you can, and with a child go for a walk, and just, in the company of friends to relax. A high-quality, cheerful and bright representative of this genre is a real gift to film fans. In my opinion, this project is exactly that. Well, let's talk more about him.
Naturally, cartoons about birds in the main roles are enough. However, the topic, it seems, can still be relevant and interesting. There's more to come up with and twist. And that's good. The main thing is that the imagination worked, and the hand of a skilled artist - animator worked hard. Basically, here, that's fine. The plot is quite appropriate. And even interesting. I also liked the animation. The budget is modest by modern standards, but it does not smell cheap. Everything's up. It’s always nice to be immersed in the atmosphere of an animated adventure. Although I am no longer a child, I love movies. I'm not in a hurry, I'm becoming a serious adult grumpy. The characters in the movie are very standard. Their diversity is not so great. But there's something to laugh about. And the jokes are good and fun. Nothing goes beyond that. Therefore, children are recommended. They'll be happy. Funny birds, hungry people and an evil hunter at the head. Here, the whole set. By the way, in the final, we are shown the attack of people by our smaller brothers. Funny, though.
Writing something else will probably be superfluous. Before you, a simple, kind, positive and easy cartoon that is suitable for family viewing. I do not recommend ignoring this product. It won't take you long. But, with a high probability, it will help to relax at the screen and have fun. Personally, the picture brought positive emotions. That's the end of it. Enjoy your visit.
“Turkeys: Back to the Future” is another example of all the best stuffing in a trailer to attract people to the cinema, but the original turns out to be a second-rate product.
Reggie is a special turkey because he knows the master plan of the “evil” people who fatten his brethren for food. No one believes him, they consider him “sick on the head”, since all the turkeys on the farm are “stupid” birds: pecking food, screaming, sleeping. Reggie's life changes when they decide to pardon him on Thanksgiving, now he lives at the president's house: he walks in a bathrobe, watches TV and eats pizza. But the "lucky" is kidnapped by "crazy" turkey Jake, who tells Reggie about a top-secret mission where they must go back in time to the first Thanksgiving to eliminate the turkey from the menu using the Time Machine.
Why I didn't like the movie:
1) An unfortunate parody of "Escape from the Chicken Coop."
2) At first, the plot is interesting, unusual, and from the second half it turns into childish babble, it turns out that in 1621 the intelligence of turkeys is higher than that of people.
(3) I am tired of the idea of where the main character finds his love.
(4) Most adult jokes will not be funny, only smiled a couple of times.
(5) Stupid happy ending with a sequel I won't go to.
(6) Do not believe me, look, because it deserves a one-time view.
7) After the credits, the mood drops, probably only elementary school students can remain delighted.
Animation studios, probably, once decided that every species of birds and animals can become the main character of the cartoon only once. This time it was the turn of the turkeys to go on the red carpet.
The beginning of the cartoon seemed to me too crumpled and too rapidly developing. The main character, pardoned turkey Reggie, together with the audience gets into the cycle of events of the main plot after 5-7 minutes from the beginning of the film. And it all begins with his acquaintance with a dorky alpha male (if at all in relation to turkeys) Jake. Jake is the main source of humor in this work. As for humor, some of the jokes are aimed at a completely finicky children’s audience in this regard, and some gave me a gig at my 21. A turkey ordering a pizza is very strange. Especially when you consider that the viewer is given to understand that people do not understand turkey language.
The plot incorporates the best traditions of films, where the characters save the planet, the city, or anything.
Since we are told in advertising about Shrek’s producers who have invested in Turkeys, comparisons cannot be avoided. The history of turkeys crossing time strata is more childish than the green ogre. In my opinion, this is a picture for family viewing with children. Although the final scenes resembled an action adventure. What? Anybody.
What I really liked was the voiceover. The voices were excellent. And to hear the familiar "Courage Bambay" was especially joyful.
Not the best animated picture, clearly inferior to the works of Walt Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks; but at the same time it is quite worthy of attention.

I'm sick of "them." Thanksgiving - from early childhood on TV or on VHS tapes, in cartoons or movies: Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving. What is this?! To be honest, I still don’t understand the meaning of this “holiday” (or what is it?), but I do know one thing: it makes me sick just to mention it.
Some kind of turkey that they bake, then put on the table, sit down with the whole family and cut it in thin pieces with an electric knife (also some completely unknown abracadabra: bz-z!) Oh yes, and everyone is grateful. There is something unnatural about this: to watch their incomprehensible rites. How can you bake a turkey at all?! She's big! Have you ever seen a turkey? It's huge! You need a real pickup truck to bring her home! In addition, this huge - probably ten kilogram - carcass should also be stuffed into the oven. There really is something unhealthy about it. All those pickup trucks and giant birds.
And where do they put those cute Thanksgiving stories? There’s probably not a single family or children’s Hollywood movie that doesn’t mention that day or that turkey. Now the whole cartoon was created, where the main roles - yes - turkeys (sorry, Lord). This picture is a whole excursion to the origins of American national traditions. No, I have nothing against “traditions”, but when these very traditions arise here and there and in the most ridiculous places, then, however, they begin to irritate: all these Easter rabbits, happybesdey and Halloween. No, I'm not an amercanophobic, I'm just a tired person who really doesn't understand why taking your child to a movie he'll never understand: "Dad, what is Thanksgiving?" Dad, why don't we eat turkey? I personally remember perfectly well how as a child I wondered from what I saw - what is it and why do we not have it? There was just some stupid, irresistible misunderstanding. Subsequently, irritation was added to the misunderstanding, because the misunderstanding did not go anywhere.
So, “Turkeys” is another animated cartoon in 3D, where the main characters are ridiculous creatures – turkeys were added to cars, snails and airplanes. I constantly ask myself: what will happen next?
The cartoon begins with the statement: “Turkeys are a stupid bird”, which in principle is not news, but there is the main character of Reggie – not degraded farm turkey with above-average intelligence. There is hope that among the birds there are geniuses, but then this is denied when the hero has a human life. After all sorts of twists and turns in his fate, Reggie encounters a funny character Jake - a turkey agent OSI (Turkey Freedom Society) trying to be smart, but he does not always succeed.
The goal is to get rid of human expansion over turkeys. To achieve this goal, you need to find a time machine and go back to the past. Of course, they find such a machine and go to America like the first meal of the turkey under the good name "Thanksgiving" - Reggie and Jake decided to end this tradition by replacing reality with an alternate past.
Traveling in time, immediately meet savage turkeys and if you do not look at that they are birds, you can simply label them as savages. These Neanderthals, in modern terms, fight for the existence of their own species and are surprisingly intelligent unlike modern turkeys – here you can trace such a connection that the modern world has spoiled turkeys and made them blindly stupid.
There is a main villain (hunter), whose goal is to catch savages for a feast, and he is challenged by the local governor of the colony (fat official).
You look at the struggle of birds with people and you understand that the cartoon is not so childish, and they understand quite serious topics there, after which you want to abandon eating turkeys.
A special interest in the cartoon arises towards the end - how will the fight for Thanksgiving end?
Of course, everything ended fairly for children - they replaced the turkeys with a flour product with ingredients. Pizza! This fact should have upset only the Italians, and so in principle a good happy ending.
In general, the cartoon is good, there is something to think about and laugh at.
Who has not traveled through time in the history of world cinema? This time, the chance fell to two turkeys who decided to visit the past not out of idle interest, but with a respectable goal: to change the course of history.
Since childhood, Reggie lived with a sense of his own exceptionalism. Mainly this feeling Reggie associated with his non-trivial intellectual abilities: he was the only turkey on the farm who clearly understood what people do with his relatives when they are grabbed by the throat and carried to the shed – he knew that this is not the way to a turkey paradise. Reggie even awkwardly tried to explain it to the other turkeys, but they refused to listen, but themselves, without expecting it, pushed Reggie into the hands of the bizarre daughter of the American president, with the easy filing of which he became a pardoned turkey.
On the same day, Reggie was taken from the farm, and he became a full-fledged resident of the President’s mansion and could enjoy all the benefits of the consumer society. For example, a TV that can be controlled by remote control, lying on the sofa on a soft pad or a free pizza delivery that can be ordered by calling the operator. In addition, the pizza delivery man will arrive at any time of the day and smile.
But Reggie has a much more interesting fate. Unexpectedly, he is kidnapped by Jake, an OSI agent who pokes a frightened Reggie in the face with a doorknob, retells the words of a certain Great Turkey, and then takes Reggie with him on a time travel, the main purpose of which is to “go back in time on the first day of Thanksgiving to remove the turkey from the menu.” And in 1621, where they are eventually transferred, life turns out to be even more interesting than in modern America: there is a beautiful turkey, which Reggie falls in love with at first sight, and hunting dogs that are ready to tear to pieces, and dozens of conscious multicolored turkeys engaged in extremely meaningful activities and making only the right decisions. And things are moving even more rapidly.
What's the problem?
- In turkeys, sir.
At the exit, we get a plot from the already familiar and familiar to the viewer stamps. At the same time, we must pay tribute to the writers who made a bold attempt to exaggerate all these cliches and bring them to the point of absurdity. Hence the mild madness that can be traced in the behavior of the daughter of the President of the United States, and the not very understandable nature of the Western eye in Reggie’s beloved and too sexy dances of “alpha turkeys” and much more.
Special attention, of course, deserves a rethinking of the role of pizza in the history of mankind, or rather in the history of America. In Russia, you can just as successfully propose to change history so that instead of herring under a fur coat on holidays eat nuggets, and instead of Olivier – sushi. That is, the authors of “Turkeys...” gave us food for thought.
In conclusion, it is worth noting that the turkeys themselves are drawn well to the extent necessary to become a facebook emoji even before the release of the cartoon in mass distribution.
Thanksgiving – this American holiday was one of the most coveted. With Halloween and Christmas, I really want to celebrate it in America. After all, this is something indescribable - to sit in the circle of relatives and friends, there is a hearty and very tasty turkey and a tasty pumpkin pie. Those dreams drove me to the cinema for this cartoon. However, he left mixed impressions.
Turkey is the main dish on the table of every American on Thanksgiving. Not every turkey wants to be eaten on this holiday. One of these turkeys is a strange-blue Reggie, who also manages to avoid a similar fate, because he is the Pardoned Turkey, and the President of the United States himself! Reggie does not have time to enjoy all the joys of life (i.e., slippers-bunnies, Brazilian (or Mexican) TV series and pizza), as he is kidnapped by brutal-looking turkey Jake. He claims that he was sent by the Great Turkey to travel back in time for the first Thanksgiving, which permanently excludes the turkey from the holiday menu. Amazingly, they get into the prototype of the first time machine named STIV and go to 1621.
Usually, the cartoon should not have any deep and complex problems of today. But this is the first time I've looked at this -- this is, of course, a vegetarian problem. Although small children are unlikely to look and draw the appropriate conclusions. All the kids in my session were laughing and having fun. And I thought, I don't know if those who watched this cartoon will give up meat. And I still believe that such problems and global scale show in cartoons is not worth it. Cartoon - he is a cartoon to have a good time, laugh, a little trouble, but with a smile on his face, and not with a heaviness on his soul to leave the hall.
However, I've already noted that kids won't think about all of this - they'll laugh for an hour and a half! I really liked the humor in the picture! For example: how Rajdi very freely behaves in the country residence of the President, stealing his remote and robe. Or the president's somewhat capricious daughter, who runs around in a pink pack and falls asleep at the first opportunity. Or on their joint scenes Jake, a very funny turkey who is clearly different from Reggie and strength and intelligence. And what fun awaits you when they arrive in the past and Jake meets a very similar Ranger, and when they start arguing, suddenly end the action with dancing! And finally, the original time travel - in the original machine with the intelligence of STIVE.
But the heroes sometimes caused me conflicting feelings. Reggie and Jake looked rather strange and not as winning as they looked in a pair. Of course, they were working together in full! Jake and Ranger were also annealed when in command at the same time, or fought against each other, or the aforementioned dances. Although, Jake’s tragic story cannot but cause sympathy. To be honest, I really liked Steev, a smart time machine that is very ironic about time travel and funny talking to itself. Moreover, he says in the voice of one of the most famous actors of dubbing - Vladimir Antonik!
In the end, I recommend this movie to all children! They'll love it. But those who are older – if you want to watch this cartoon, you do not need to seriously think about any problems there. Then you'll like it a lot more. I loved the original humor, the fun fact of time travel, and how the characters worked together. What caused the controversy is described above. If you do not care and you just want to have fun, then please go to the cinema!

The fact that the turkey is the stupidest bird in the world, the authors of the cartoon “Turkeys: Back to the Future” will try to dissuade the viewer, and to help in this difficult matter, they clearly called on the full potential of cinema of past years.
In each episode, the characters (by the way, perfectly implemented technically - thanks to the frozen turkey from the supermarket) rather act not as independent characters, but as comic performers quoted from completely different films key episodes, which in "Turkeys" acquire the status of gags. Therefore, even a little-watched viewer will not be difficult to determine, perhaps, more than a dozen movie quotes. There is a parody of science fiction, dystopia, superhero movies, and even westerns. However, the authors’ emphasis on borrowing is already indicated by the name of the cartoon. And in the heroes, except for their overall turkey appearance, there are few individual traits. For example, one of them is like a feathered title character from “American Dad.”
I am glad that laughing at other films, the creators do not forget about self-criticism. The author's judge is the heroine of the President's daughter, who saved the main turkey from imminent death. Having passed out at the most critical moment with her crown “I want to sleep!”, she leaves a feeling of unrealized and interrupted episodes. This is perceived as a recognition of the authors that they did not plan to say something new in the Inyuks (except, of course, that turkey is not only valuable meat), so you can safely take a nap and return to watching the minutes like this in fifteen. Then it'll still be funny. And about what happened, the viewer will guess without much difficulty.
This year, the animation kings of Pixar will not release the film. And, it seems, “Turkeys” decided to claim the title of cartoon of the year. The creators took a potentially interesting story about turkeys going back in time to permanently remove the turkey from the Thanksgiving menu.
The main character of Reggie is a weak and rather lazy turkey who loves pizza and Mexican TV series. And his friend Jack is an egocentric athlete, who in childhood appeared the Great Turkey, after which Jack decided to devote his life to saving the turkey family. They will travel with a time machine 200 years ago. And already there, together with a tribe of wild turkeys, to resist a cold-blooded hunter who decided to destroy the entire turkey family. It all sounds like a good setup for a movie, suitable for viewers of any age. That's right. Constant action and sparkling humor more than beat the price of a ticket per session.
The authors thoroughly and with great imagination approached the creation of a way of life of turkeys, or rather the transfer of the world of people to the world of birds. Little things, like a turkey concentration camp (turkey farms), are the main “cherries” of any cartoon, and retelling them is the last thing. I will only note that with the finale, the authors tried to fame - no one expected such a turn of events for sure.
But remember, this is not Pixar. Trying to please everyone and at once, authors often rush to extremes, making the movie periodically too predictable. And sometimes naively childish, which, unfortunately, inexorably leads the story away from the laws of the genre - the moral and spiritual rebirth of the hero, as, for example, in the super hit "Despicable Me".
Also a significant advantage of "Turkeys" is the voiceover. This is the first major project of Denis Kolesnikov, aka “Courage Bombay”, he is also the most charismatic voice of the Runet. His voice is spoken by Reggie and Jack, which makes most jokes even funnier.
Along with the vulgar and outdated plots going at the box office, "Turkeys" look like the juicy Thanksgiving turkey that everyone has been waiting for so long.
The least such revolutionary attitude is expected from lazy and stupid, as is commonly believed, turkeys.
This, in fact, and played the creators, creating a break pattern. Are you saying turkeys are stupid and lazy? Don’t you want a revolution and time travel? And then there's the blue-headed Reggie.
Be prepared that you are not ready for a turkey trip through time. But that's okay. It turns out to be even more interesting to follow the events of the movement and the time machine named STIV. If you look at all this through the eyes of an American viewer, from infancy immersed in the holy history of celebrating the no less sacred holiday of Thanksgiving, but at the same time occasionally remember that you yourself are in Rossi you get an interesting impression of the cartoon. Double or even triple meanings are revealed. Starting from the fact that the theme of Greenpeace is pumped in the film, the theme - and if we could be in their place, etc.
Turkey humanism is addictive, feathered dudes want to empathize, but I want to laugh at them even more.
Therefore, feel free to go to see two down turkeys who managed to turn back history (and not one, but America itself!). Very useful and funny story.
I hope that ours will be adopted and draw the Russian version. Something about olive, a herring under a fur coat or a lively barbecue. It's a very fertile subject.
The turkeys are tired of watching their family die every year on Thanksgiving Day, two of the most unusual heroes decide to steal a time machine to change history. Getting into the past, they face misunderstanding and prejudice, and only realizing their capabilities helps Reggie and Jake understand how to help their ancestors.
The director of "Horton" and "John Hex" shot one of the best cartoons of the year. His project stands out from others. Despite small flaws and sagging history, the creators managed not to let the audience get bored, entertaining them with secondary characters and humor.
The writers managed at minimal cost and a linear plot to write a pleasant story, full of references to long-became classic films.
The group “Courage Bambey”, responsible for the translation of many foreign series, worked with the text of the characters to fame. The public familiar with their work will be interested in hearing familiar voices in a non-standard shell.
Music written for a cartoon could suit any blockbuster. With such diligence and professionalism approached the project composer Dominic Lewis.
Cartoon "Free Birds" will provide you with a pleasant mood, both during the session and after. I hope that the creators will be able to give the world more than one project of the same level.
Recently, I have noticed that animation has begun to develop in two straight diametric directions: the first is cartoons only for children, recognized as entertaining only preschoolers, and the second is entertainment for the older generation, based on the jokes of popular culture. Not to say that the writers did not try to step in the direction of mixing these two subgenres (the example of Disney Ralph, the creations of Pixar and Blue Sky), but, nevertheless, successful experiments are too few to confidently talk about the successful crossing of children's and adult cinema. Probably the only one who does not cling to the younger generation is the Ardan Plasticine Studio. His masterpiece Escape from the chicken coop and formed the basis of the American film “Turkeys...”
The influence of the English school on the director is felt directly. Yes, this is a movie Back to the Future with Turkeys, but what prevents it from being stylish and bright. Why not use adult jokes so veiled that children will remain blissfully unaware and adults will laugh at them cheerfully. What prevents to show people not as “evil killers”, but forced to hunt birds because of severe hunger, dying right on the street from want. Why not show how important it is to be part of a team, but not to go down to the gray mass? All these small details not only do not spoil the film, but also allow not to reject the idea of the main story about travel through time and space.
The atmosphere of time travel in the style of the trillogy Back to the Future and the series of books Hitchhikers in the Galaxy are hurried, which indicates good taste at the director. Several times I literally vividly imagined how Doc will now jump out of the corner and scream ‘Great leap!’ and one of the main characters will find a sofa in the bushes in the past.
Bright, stylish design of the characters only at first glance seems simple. When creating heroes, the artists initially drew in a style close to realism of turkeys and people who their characters were supposed to be like, after which they simplified everything to comic and cute characters. Maybe that's why I had so much fun watching their facial expressions.
Bottom line: You can really watch the movie in the company of your little kids and in the company of friends.
I don’t expect much from such cartoons, and often find that it’s not in vain. I will not even describe the plot, because everything is clear here. This is another cartoon where children can laugh from the heart, parents can laugh a couple of times for the company. I cried at one point, so that emotional and impressionable natures are also “forward”!
Reggie's turkey is taken from the farm because he has become a pardoned turkey. He liked the president’s daughter and it was his happy hour. Because, as it turned out, the pets of the president's children live even better than the presidents themselves. They can watch TV all day, eat pizza (by the way, don’t forget about pizza – this is the gun that will shoot at the end). In general, a luxurious life for an ordinary turkey. But somehow, another turkey Jake enters the president’s house to kidnap Reggie. And he kidnaps for a reason, but in order to get together in 1621, on the first day of Thanksgiving. They must remove the turkey from the festive menu, and this will be the salvation of the entire turkey family. And yes, I forgot to mention the time machine with which the main characters can do all this. The plot is, of course, hilarious.
There are a few moments when you can “walk”. Not that many to me. The kids will love it, of course. I was pleased with all sorts of crazy chips, like the “golden pen of time”, which can go “hurrah”, probably only in cartoons. I liked the voice of Courage-Bambay because the voice is recognizable and really good. The meaning fits into “you can not give up, you can not idle, you need to stay where you managed to make friends with someone.” In general, the usual American sense for such commercial cartoons. If your child has not yet learned such a lesson, then perhaps he should be reduced to this cartoon.
Verdict: A good one-time cartoon, and of course you have to go with the kids. To please the child with bright colors, 3D, cheerful turkeys that believably demonstrate the gestures and habits of these birds (this can be educational), and the belief that good always conquers evil, and sometimes everyone can just make friends.
This year can be safely called the year of the second parts, as well-known studios such as Pixar and DreamWorks decided not to bother themselves much and released the continuations of famous cartoons such as Monsters Corporation 2, Despicable Me 2, Cloudy, possible precipitation in the form of meatballs 2. Of course, all the cartoons turned out to be good, but I want something new, to experience new adventures.
In this situation, it is time to act little-known studios and surprise the tired audience with new ideas. This was used by the creators of the colorful cartoon - "Turkeys Back to the Future".
The plot tells us about a cowardly, but rather smart turkey Reggie. He lives on a farm the simplest life of a bird, but year after year, he looks forward to another Thanksgiving. One day Reggie meets turkey Jake, who drags him into operations to return to the past and save the birds from celebrating the diet. For all 3 days, the future of turkeys is in their hands.
Director - Jimmy Hayward - pleased with the adaptation of the story of Dr. Seuss "Horton" again took the director's chair. In “Turkeys Back to the Future”, the director and screenwriters tried their best, the dialogues were thought out, and each character is individual and unique. Do not forget that this is still an animated film and its main audience are children, so that it teaches that no matter what difficulties they become, you need to fight them to the end, do not abandon friends from danger, etc. But the screenwriters thought about the accompanying children in the movies - adults. So, the humor in the cartoon is just on top.
It is also worth noting the excellent dubbing. Immediately two main characters voiced Denis Kolesnikov – he is “Courage Bambay”, although I realized it only when I read who voiced the characters, so brilliantly he coped with the roles. Today the studio "Courage Bomuey" is very popular on TV. His translations will soon be able to compete with the translations of Dmitry Puchkov – aka “Goblin”.
Outcome: I am so glad that the film does not repeat itself.
9 out of 10
P.S. - The most patient viewers are waiting for a pleasant surprise with a reference to the film by Robert Zemeikis. So don’t leave on the credits, wait for the end and you will be rewarded.
