“I am afraid for you, son, I am afraid. “There’s some kind of inner shit in you,” the mother says to her son, and then says that his father is an alien.
A very bold and bright film, told in bold, hooligan language. Such a sci-fi Rosswestern, in which mixed ' Men in Black', ' Idiots' and ' Jesus Christ - Superstar', the mythology of Daniel Andreev and Russian folk tales.
I have to admit that I started watching this movie with skepticism. Still, the rating is not high, and the reviews are not unequivocal. And somehow I was immediately hooked by the form of presentation - total freedom, it is clear that the authors allowed themselves to reopen the editing and mastered the camera right on the go. And I understand that it's in this mode of operation that discoveries emerge, that new forms are born.
Separately, it is worth noting the work of the actors: the total infantilism of the main characters, the almost pop existence of psychos, the most convincing final monologue of Lieutenant Voronin performed by Sergei Chonishvili.
- It's a dead end.
- I'm dead. The whole world is a dead end. I'll give you a dead end.
It is a pity that in modern Russian cinema, so few such bold works.
