Give it to me at home. French director Eric Besnard doesn’t have many films, but he’s a talented screenwriter. Besnard is famous for his film "Taste of Miracles". Now before our attention is his earlier work called "My heroes". Personally, this little-known movie attracted my attention because of Josian Balasco. She’s an incredibly talented actress and it’s always fun to open up movies with her.
Not lost, because this soulful movie is a warm and touching story that warms people's hearts. Soul films are gold in cinema, especially in French production. Personally, I was pleased to plunge into this sunny and heartfelt movie.
We see the story of an elderly woman working at an immigrant aid center. There, she meets a black little boy whom the authorities want to deport from the country. The heroine takes him to her home and, together with her husband and adult son, makes him unforgettable for several days. The boy feels their love and care, and is as if in a fairy tale.
It seems ironic and humorous, but looks with a sad smile. The heroes of this story are very good and decent people, and that is how they turn our planet. What could be better than doing a gratuitous, good deed, and precisely for the person who needs it very, very much. This unpretentious film is very inspiring and clean, it carries light and something good that gives hope.
The foundation of everything here was, of course, Josian: her play and charm. A pleasant duet was made by Gerard Juniot, and Pierre Richard was curious and unexpected to see. When such famous stars of French cinema play together, the new film is doubly pleasant to watch.
"My Heroes" is a French, soulful tragicomedy of 2012. I appreciated this European film and it was interesting and nice to see it. Do good, believe in everything good. Miracles happen to those who believe in them. Good mood and great movies for everyone!
