«Now you`re in my life, don`t you leave my side…» I have long wanted to write about this film. It is a pity that there are almost no reviews about it, and someone does not want to watch it precisely because of their absence. I found this movie a year ago and didn’t regret watching it! I’ve been revisiting it several times this year.
The script of the film is not complicated - it is about the meeting of two people and their recognition of each other. This simplicity of the script is especially liked when you no longer have the strength to watch movies about love affairs or banal and sweet melodramas. This film seemed to me outside of any genre, I would describe it as a “life story”. The film is a kind of journey, both geographically (on the streets of London) and spiritually. Walking, the characters gradually, step by step, open up, becoming more and more fascinated by each other. As for me, I was also gradually fascinated by everything about this film - the landscapes, the music, their faces and their words.
To “feel” this film, you just need to watch it in a certain mood – you need a mixture of lyrics, melancholy and contemplation. That is the atmosphere of this film. In some places it brings a slight sadness, sometimes makes you laugh or cry - it has everything.
The musical accompaniment is simply amazing! All the music that is in the film, fits the mood, feeds it. The same can be said about London landscapes, which are devoid of any gloss and appear as they really are - mainly in gray-blue scale.
I don’t think this movie exists in professional translation, but that’s a good thing! It is much better to watch it in the original (with subtitles), enjoying the great British pronunciation of the characters and their voices.
As a result, I would recommend this film to those who want to plunge into the life history of relationships, who want a leisurely immersion in the inner world of the characters, who appreciate the visual series.
