Okay, look, let's talk about this "Babysitting" or whatever it's called. To be honest, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I don’t think I’ll ever do anything like that again. The thing is, from the start, I knew it was going to be a giant headache. These kids are a nightmare! Not a moment of peace, they always found a way to confuse me in their whims and antics. It was as if the goal was to test my nerves and make me extremely irritable. And who are these parents who haven't taught their children even basic decency? Every time I tried to tell them something or just tried to set some order, they would stand on their hind legs as if I was doing something wrong. Mom and Dad who don’t even know what discipline is. But you know what pissed me off? It's parental irresponsibility. They would leave me alone with that damn pack and disappear for nights thinking everything would be okay. Like I'm a babysitter or something. No, guys, I didn't sign up for that shit! When I finally waited for them to come back and tried to explain to them that such irresponsibility was just stupid, they just frowned and brushed it off as if my words were hollow talk. Very cool, huh? It was a terrible experience that I would not wish on anyone else. If you’re thinking about becoming a babysitter, think a hundred times. I did it and regret it every second. 4 out of 10 just because I got some money. But it certainly wasn't worth my nerves and time.
One of the reasons I love writing comedy reviews is for remembering episodes that make me laugh again. The story itself is not much different from Project X. The case takes place in a luxurious private house, where you can not throw a party, but it happens. On his birthday, Frank stays at the boss' house to babysit. But friends don't intend to leave Frank without a party. What happens next immerses the viewer in excitement, laughter and exclamations of “Oh my God, what to do now?”
My opinion.
There should be more movies in the world like Supernanny. At least to lift the mood and prolong our lives. Especially when things are happening in the world. It’s amazing to me how the French are able to make comedies on a par or even better level than the Americans. They certainly have a secret.
It wasn't without the jokes. Although they looked harmonious here, I can’t say that anything was out of the picture. There were moments and philosophical ones. In comedies, of course, they are banal, but what without them! The main idea of the film is still relevant today. Therefore, he adds comedy charm.
I also liked the heroes. Each member of the caste is a unique hero, with exaggerated qualities. You will probably recognize your friends in them. Therefore, I recommend watching the film with a friendly company to immediately draw parallels. That makes it even funnier.
When it comes to music, everything is fine. There is something to add to the playlist for a home party.
I liked the second part better, but this one is also good! I recommend watching both at once.
Dignity: French film Flaws: Secondary, camera work - seams, terrible dialogues The plot of the 2014 French film almost one in one repeats the plot of the 2003 American film “My Boss’s Daughter” with Ashton Kutcher in the title role. It became clear to me from the first shots, even a bird is: there is a parrot, there was an owl. After that, I wanted to turn it off, because... see the name of the review. But it got curious. In short: to please the boss, a small office clerk agrees to sit with his child in his own posh house, but something went wrong. . . In general, the impression is this: a weak and completely secondary comedy. Waited for the signature French humor, but laughed once: when the stripper hit the back of the main character in the face. Ahahahahaha, inventively)). The film is almost completely - it is shooting an amateur camera of one of the characters, therefore, it is constantly shaking, setting the frame and other camera delights do not wait. My eyes were tired in 5 minutes. Characters (like they don't know they're being filmed) speak in strange phrases that curl their ears. Well, for example, the main character says to a 10-year-old baby he has to babysit: My balls are gray looking for you. The same child, when asked about her dream, answers: Fuck you. Anyway, it's ridiculous. I didn't look, I switched. You better watch the original, Ashton Kutcher is so handsome. The actor who plays the main role in this film is not suitable for him. Only his crooked face remained in memory, on which the back is stabbed.
There are many attraction films, but it is quite difficult to find a good one among them. Given the specifics of French cinema, I did not believe for a long time that “Supernanny” was such, but here it is!
This is a great comedy that will make you laugh to the point of colic in your stomach. Though the plot is quite banal in some places, it still looks fresh and interesting. Of course, the spinelessness of the main character from time to time begins to irritate and cause indignation, but after all, the whole plot, every turn, is built on it. I don’t think it makes sense to talk about story holes because that’s not what the movie is about. But the quality of humor is great. He does not descend into constant near bed or toilet themes, but competently balances on quality jokes.
I really liked the cast, but, of course, this film did not require special acting talent. So it’s worth noting the chemistry between the characters, because there’s no doubt about it, and the characters themselves, each with their own funny inclinations. There is no such thing that all the characters are alike, as they like to do in bad comedies or children's cartoons. Everyone has individual traits that can’t be confused.
The storytelling style itself is interesting. Almost the entire film was shot by one of the characters, who constantly walked with the camera. Of course, the quality of the picture because of this is not very good, often shaking camera began to annoy, but, in general, it is very interesting and individual. It is thanks to this feature that the film easily stands out from the rest of the comedies.
In general, "Supernanny" leaves behind positive emotions and impressions. He is light and cheerful, you do not want to break away from him, because there is always intrigue: what will happen next? How big will the main character’s problems be and will he be able to cope with them? In general, I recommend watching.
As a fan of Jack Burns, Paul Viti, Setarogen’s lawlessness and Coen sarcasm, I have zero emotions about this kind of memory. Philippe Lachaux’s work was no exception.
There was boredom in the twentieth minute. On the fortieth Glavheroine uttered a sacramental phrase: "Great, the rotten continues." And the final moralization drove the last nail into the lid of this clichéd coffin.
The symbiosis of the epochal “Vegas Bacchanalia” and the canonical Richardovsky “Toy” mutated into an absolutely dull sterility. Having hooked a trivial audience from 25 and below, the creators forgot to provide this dish with thrashiness, excitement and the drive that this audience needs. Absolutely unavailable on all these fronts. And on the faces of the actors the light did not sparkle.
Basic jokes with a parrot and dad's plate are seized from Farelli and "The Factors", and the same humor from film to film is unlikely to "go" even the most ardent infantils. On the other hand, if a cork in the nose, pumping Ara, a 40-meter “thing”, a pedophile cut and a friend who opens America to the consumer, such a movie has every right to life. It's very short, though!
The supernanny turned out to be neither good nor bad. The movie is NOT!
P.S. Striptease turned twerk apocalypse! It's a little dirty, but funny.
For the past three years, the quality of fresh comedies has been steadily declining. Basically, we are pleased with sequels of acclaimed films and passing things. From 2014, there was nothing to choose to include in your list. The supernanny seemed to me more or less sane project.
A married couple, embarking on a short journey, leaves their "difficult" son under the care of their subordinate Frank. You just need to watch the boy for two days. The trouble is that this day coincides with his 30th anniversary, and crazy friends are clearly not ready to cancel the party.
Initially, I wanted to write a neutral review, because the film did not meet the expectations of a crazy comedy. But after thinking, I found something to cling to, and dragged this review by the ears to a positive one. About the film itself is difficult to talk, so I will note only the pros and cons.
Pluses.
- Relatively unused plot, which constantly loops, thereby confusing the viewer.
- Nice acting. The fact that I do not know anyone from the cast did not prevent me from appreciating a very convincing performance.
- Somewhere even very good jokes and comic situations. Although you feel the taste of a typical French humor, which is not clear to everyone.
Minuses.
- The genre of the film is constantly swinging from side to side, and it is not quite clear what you are watching now. Whether it's a comedy or a nice family drama.
- Too many unnecessary events and dialogues. You can easily cut a third of the film, and the main plot will not suffer.
The rest of the film is not bad, and maybe someone will even watch it. But not me. Seven, but with a big stretch.
Not in French, but a very good comedy of situations. An interesting presentation of the story is like a video camera. Reliable characters, really empathize with the main character, Frank - hostage to the ventures of his "mad" comrades. I would recommend watching 16-50. For children a lot of eroticism, and the older generation is unlikely to appreciate. People raised on “Toy” (by the way, a film with a claim to the role of a modernized version of the masterpiece), most likely, used to a more elegant French humor. But the picture will be a great addition to the evening “for two” or the youth company.
On his birthday, Frank is forced to work as a babysitter for his boss’ baby. But the friends of our hero will not let this evening become boring!
Opinion
Right to the point! Contrary to my expectations, the movie was pretty good. Not that this is a super comedy that we will all remember and will then be 200 million times to review, but one evening at least this picture brighten up is capable, quite fun.
The fact that this film is not American, but French, only adds to its advantages. Of course, the French tried to make it completely American. As a result, we get a French film made to the American, but retains some French elegant touch.
I didn’t expect anything like that from him, so the film was pleasantly surprised.
In the film, along with the vulgar and not very funny jokes that in the modern cinema world are present in every second comedy, there are several really successful and funny moments that give rise to laughter (at least for me).
The plot is banal, and if you take it apart, then each of them can then be found in some other film. Although this should not be a problem for you, if you just decided to relax in the evening without straining your brain. That's exactly how I watched the movie.
There are some problems with transitioning from active scenes to scenes in which the characters are aware of something important, philosophically (as far as the genre allows) communicating with each other. It seems that there was just a crazy chase, but this is a snotty moment of reconciliation between the two heroes. But it’s not that annoying.
As I mentioned above, there are jokes in the film. Sometimes it even seems that the French tried to outdo the Americans in this, which, at first glance, is almost impossible. But against the general background, vulgarity does not look like a foreign body in the picture. Therefore, this paragraph is only intended to indicate its existence.
Verdict
Sometimes vulgar, sometimes funny, sometimes crazy French comedy about a big party, out of control.
7 out of 10
First, let me tell you a little about the Russian version of the film. Russian voiceover has always been a separate issue, but since most Russian-speaking viewers watch the film only with a Russian track, it is impossible not to mention it. Russian distributors, as is often the case, quite avant-garde approached the voiceover. The speech of the characters of the film does not look like the speech of the French. An even greater mystery to me is the question - why was it necessary to rename the characters of the film in the English way? The two main characters from the French Frank and Remy in the Russian box office turned into Anglo-Saxon Frank and Dan, and most other names were changed. The distributors overdid it. She even renamed the character of the other film mentioned here, and the second was changed gender (" Sid's brother Killer). And even geographical names, and they changed, but for some reason not in English, and in the Russian way.
Now to the movie itself. Style is not new, the action is interrupted in the evening, when nothing portends trouble, and in the morning suddenly out of nowhere reveals a shaped ugliness, after which throughout the film, the events of the previous evening are recreated in grains. We’ve seen this many times, including the “Bachelor Party in Vegas.” It is not a new idea to capture what is happening on camera. But I haven’t had time yet.
The film is a classic youth comedy, with the only difference that the characters of the film are slightly older than usual in such comedies. Nevertheless, the actors amaze with their complete madness and spontaneity. Beginning with Mr. Schodel, who never hesitated to hire to look after the young son of a man whom, as he himself admits, “only a couple of times in the office.” And what the friends of the main character do, it cannot be conveyed in words. The child does not lag behind with his cruel jokes. Everything is done spontaneously and without thinking.
The comedy turned out to be quite successful, watching it is funny and not boring. Of course, it was not without frank absurdities, first of all the story with his grandfather, drawn from Carl Fredriksen from the famous cartoon “Up”. But it’s a movie, and it’s a comedy, so no one promised that all events should be exclusively believable.
This film comes from France and the association with the magnificent Toy, especially before watching the tape and after familiarity with the annotation, is inevitable. However, this is not a purely French film. “Supernanny”, to a large extent, a movie made in the American manner, which, however, does not deprive it of some European flavor.
Dreaming of becoming a comic book author, Frank - in pursuit of his dream - works in a book publishing house at the reception. On the day of his thirtieth birthday, he still decided to show his sketches to the director, but he, assured that he would evaluate the work later, gave a very important task - to look after his young son. Friends missed the anniversary of a friend could not — fell into the house of the boss.
It is clear that the main inspirational element was such truly masterpiece in its genre comedies as “Bachelor party in Vegas” and “Project X: Were Diffused”. But at the same time, we can note the influence of other, no less funny, but already children's and family comedies: Home Alone, Difficult Child. I remember the Italian television film “Two and a Half Crooks” – comparing these two pictures you can already trace the mentioned European color.
For example, humor here is still not as rough and flat as in the tapes from the United States. Yes, there is something of black laughter, there are hints of some perversions, but, in general, everything is within the bounds of decency (if any exist at all in our time). It all looks incredibly funny.
There are few such comedies in our time, when you laugh in your voice, and on the screen there is nothing extraordinarily stupid. The creators of Super Nian, I think, still managed to take something from the best traditions of French comedies, although, of course, there are many references to traditional American humor. Another thing is that it is balanced in a certain way, there is a certain dosage, take at least scenes of fun at the fair - this ordinary happiness makes the picture more soulful.
The child in the film – although not brilliantly played, but adequately coped with the role of Enzo Tomasini – again, to please European traditions, very natural. In SuperNian, it's not a superhero. Not the real evil in the flesh. The hero of Enzo - 10-year-old Denis - does not plot anyone, does not show his obstinate character, even if at first it seemed that he has. On the contrary, this child just enjoys what is happening around him, enjoys the taste of life and the attention of others that suddenly came upon him - it is understandable, since his own father gave him only new game consoles, and he could not go to a football match with his son.
But despite the present sentimentality, similar even to the semantic message of the film, Denis’s statement that he would hesitate to have a father like Frank “so that he would care about me even drunk and think not only about himself.” This doesn’t fill SuperNian with anything truly philosophically or socially meaningful. There is no social drama, no moral problems, and this does not in any way relate to the tape with traditional French comedies, including the Toy. The whole hour and a half on the screen is only absolute fun.
Yes, most of the film is shot in the genre of “found film”, but it, in real time, along with the audience, is watched by Denis’ parents and police officers who came to an empty looted house. This adds a fresh stream to the well-known format, but it should be noted that in the genre of comedy pseudo-amateur shooting has not yet become boring, and therefore everything looks quite original. And the “live” camera itself is not so shaking and with poor shooting quality, as it usually happens, for example, in the horror genre, so there are no problems with perception.
The question remains: is it a children’s, youth or adult comedy? On the one hand, there are children's adventures, but on the other, youth humor with all sorts of obscenities, at the same time, these guys celebrate not graduation and adulthood, but meet the fourth decade. I think that this mix of genres is the key to the success of the picture.
The plot itself suggests a continuation and high box office fees have already made the authors think about the second part. And Hollywood has already bought the rights to shoot its own remake (once again, European cinema becomes a donor of fresh ideas for the American one). But will these subsequent films be as successful or even surpass the first original part, which, despite all the advantages, still has room to grow?
We'll find out!
"Babysitting": "Your house was attacked by green peace sheep."
The “found footage” style that made a splash when the Blair Witch was released is seen by some filmmakers as a win-win way to give originality to any work, regardless of the plot, budget or other attributes. The creators of “Babysitting” used this manner of shooting as the main marketing lure for the viewer (the trailer consisted exclusively of frames in this style). But in fact, the picture of Nicholas Benamou and Philippe Lachaux, uses “found footage” only in half of the screen time, and the expected high bar of French humor they do not take, and even put: the directors are not focused on the standards of the homeland of Christian Clavier, and not on the highest quality English-language samples, like “American Pie”.
An inconspicuous employee of a large company by the will of fate turns out to be the nurse of the son of his boss. Frank (the name of our protagonist), as you would expect, will face another version of a difficult child and take a spontaneous and informal survival course for novice nannies. "Babysitting" is a lightweight version of the eccentric sitcom, aimed at young audiences and modified to suit their interests. The main types of “Babysitting” jokes are cake in the face, shouting on the carousel-catapulta / roller coaster / substitute, demonstrations of naked body parts and a kiss of two guys. If cake and other things look just like outdated techniques, then speculation (albeit very fleeting) on a gay topic makes an unpleasant impression, it seems to laugh at such things in the 21st century is completely inappropriate.
Saves (and does not allow it to be classified as thrash) this film, representing the desire to shoot the average American comedy in French, nothing but sentimentality. The boy, who is forced to look after the main character of the film, turns out to be a spoiled heir to a large fortune, but with his constant whims he suppresses his own feelings: “I would like to have a dad like you.” That he should care about me.” But the purpose of the creators of the film was not deep thinking, broadcast to the viewer through humor, as, for example, it was in the classic “Toy”, the parallels with which in light of the above are obvious, but only as many gags per unit of time as possible. Given that the timing of the picture does not reach even an hour and a half, the question is appropriate about what is primary - lack of time or jokes.
First-class comedians in the person of Philippe Lachaux, Vincent Desagna and Gerard Juno try and show all their talent, but their game is lost behind the conditional endless party by the pool, against which the whole action of the picture takes place. This party style is annoying, since, firstly, the number of comedies with questionable quality, which demonstrate the drunken revelry of young people, exceeds reasonable standards. And secondly, “Babysitting” genre gravitates to the comedy of positions, and in this case, the most important role is played by pace and rhythm, but in the story of the nanny there is no temporal pattern – one scene is replaced by another without any transitions, and the lack of accents does not only allow you to evaluate jokes (and in the film there are still very good moments and phrases), but even focus on them.
If you choose as a benchmark for the evaluation of classical French-language works with the participation of Gerard Juno, then “Babysitting” is beyond any positive epithets. If we evaluate the picture as one of the many modern comedies for the viewer with a “modern” sense of humor, then the work of Benamu and Lasho bypasses many competitors in the fight for dubious quality fun.
Under the unpretentious playlist of compositions popular at the time of the release of the film, in the world of "Babysitting" everything is always carefree and fun. But it is a somewhat mindless fun, in which there is nothing behind the laughter but something amusing for the mass audience, but not at all funny for fans of Thierry Lermitt and Gerard Juno. However, this is quite enough for box office success and a sequel, the production of which was announced six months after the premiere of the film.
When I saw the trailer for Supernanny for the first time, I thought, ‘Yeah, that’s another super drunk, super goofy American comedy!’ What was my surprise when I read France? The French have made a movie about the gallant "slinger" and parties like "inscription, on a cool hut"? “That’s nonsense,” I thought.
Well, what's the bottom line? The result was an average.
Good
First of all, I want to point out, of course, good jokes throughout the film. Minimum vulgarity, enough comic situations, and the presence of goofy and crazy characters that amuse the viewer, like clowns in the circus. The film is positioned as a comedy and can deservedly take a cake from the shelf, for a worthyly solved problem.
Secondly, a very good section of the film with an amusement park. It was very funny to watch grown guys having fun with the boy and gradually replacing his parents. The main thing that this brought the film drive, unusual, and, of course, diversity.
Bad
The impression of the film changed several times, in the process, watching, and, in the end, remained not the best. It’s mostly because of the colossal similarity of this film to Project X, which I personally liked much more. Here is the birthday of the main character, who does not want to throw a big party, and shooting what is happening in the first person, and a crazy party with a lot of alcohol and drugs. It seemed that the director wanted to shoot something like a continuation of the acclaimed picture about the biggest party, but to turn out not very similar, inserted a line of a boy and a boy-nanny, as well as the problem of the relationship between father and son. I won’t say that it was bad, but it turned out, let’s say, not in the best way.
As a result: a mediocre parody of American comedies of a youth-alcoholic format with good humor and an attempt to turn a dramatic relationship into a plot. It was quite sluggish, but not without a smile.
The head of a large publishing house leaves his son for a day under the supervision of a modest, quiet secretary of his company, Frank. How did he know that this is the day Frank turns 30, and his unassuming friends decide to throw a noisy party for his friend? As a result, in the early morning, the head of the publishing house and his wife wake up to a phone call, the policeman introduced himself informs them of the devastation in their house, a broken car and the disappearance of his son. Urgently returning home, they find a video camera on which all the events of the last night are captured, and now they have no choice but to view this recording in the hope of understanding what happened and where their son went.
“Supernanny” is the rare case when shooting from the first person turned out not only competently and interestingly inscribed in the plot, but also from the quality of which does not begin to dizzy and this despite the abundance of events, chases, dances and fun unfolding at the birthday celebration. The harmonious interweaving of storylines, in one of which we see the events of the night, and in the other the reaction to what is happening to parents and investigators, causes genuine interest in the picture and intrigues the development of events. The abundance of original jokes throughout the film do not let you get bored, and a number of unexpected plot twists add to the picture zest, and to the humor of originality. Before viewing, I expected that the humor in the film will be quite vulgar and what is called “below the belt”, but as it turned out, there is no such level of jokes in the film (well, or practically no), which did not prevent the picture from becoming extremely funny and hilarious. The absence of jokes “below the belt” by the word does honor to the creators of the film and for the better distinguishes it from a number of its counterparts in the genre, because in recent years it seems increasingly that film companies have simply forgotten how to shoot comedies without such, often low-grade and not funny humor.
Writers and actors deserve special praise, the first came up with an interesting and well-twisted plot for comedy, and the second looked extremely natural and charismatic in the roles assigned to them, it was a pleasure to watch their play.
The film turned out to be extremely funny, positive, dynamic, easy to perceive, with an interesting plot and professional work of the entire crew. “Supernyan” by his own example proves that youth comedy can be high-quality and truly funny, and that you can easily do without toilet humor and vulgarity.
The film is recommended for everyone who has a bad mood and depression, because for at least an hour and a half, you will forget about your problems and laugh from the heart.
Attention! Expected story with an unexpected effect
This is a good comedy worth its weight in gold. Yes, yes, unfortunately, so much second-rate / third-rate garbage has been divorced, with the same kind of jokes relentlessly following American humor.
Back in 1936, Ilf and Petrov in their “One-storey America” wrote about the Hollywood film industry: “All these pictures are below the level of human dignity.” It seems to us that it is humiliating for a person to look at such pictures. They are designed for bird brains, for the hard thinking of big horned humanity.
It is funny to think that for such a long time nothing has changed, at least in relation to the comedy genre.
So that's why I started my review with a retreat to Hollywood? Because "Supernya" ideologically follows his path and there is no French identity in it. I have written about this and will not repeat it.
But!"Supernanny" is something else. It seems that the action is familiar, but everything is served with some charm and sparkling translation of Bocharov (in order not to spoil the impression of the film, I strongly recommend watching only in its translation). There are no pauses that the directors take in order for the audience to “consider laughing.” There is no really low toilet humor from which you immediately want to turn off the film and not return to it.
The actors look very organic. The jokes are so easy and relaxed that it seems like you are taking part in this orgy. In general, an hour and a half of laughter from the heart is provided to you.
Join it! This is definitely a comedy of the last few years.
I will surprise you from the door: I liked this film more than “Bachelor party in Vegas”, which is considered the benchmark among films about trying to collect thoughts in the head, teeth in the mouth and the remaining beer in the fridge after “Cool party”TM. What is it? I'll talk about that later, after I'll recap the story briefly.
Fred...no Frank works at a cool publishing company as a dude sitting and listening to his colleague’s stories about pearling (her favorite and apparently only topic of conversation). There is nothing more to do on that job, which gives a lot of time for reasoning on the topic “what I have achieved”. He wanted to draw comic books... More precisely, he draws them, but no one needs them and no one is interested in publishing them. And in his DR, he finally decides to show his boss his sketches. The boss of course doesn't care about plankton, even whose name he doesn't know and can't remember. But he needs a man to sit with his oppressive boy while this Gollum-like bald boss, along with a young wife who looks like a marriage lover of convenience, revel in vanity at some solemn ceremony. Fred. Frank is forced to agree, because comics are more important to him than celebrating DR, than fucking best friends, than Sonya, to whom he cares. But the celebration will still take place... The next morning, the boss will call the police and report that their house is completely destroyed and no one is present. Of the clues to where the son and Frank went... that is, Fred... that is, Frank was left with only the camera, which was filmed everything that happened that night. The boss with his wife and police officers stock up on popcorn and start watching. I also advise you to stock up, it will be fun.
The film is French, but from F'ganzia it contains only the names of the characters. This is a typical Hollywood comedy. You may not want to watch it a second time (or at least a third time), but you won’t regret it. Other reviews have already noted this, but I can’t help but repeat it: the film mixed the ideas of three famous comedies. From "Project X," there's a party out of control and amateur shooting. From "Bachelor Party in Vegas" - an attempt to restore the course of events of the stormy night and try to eliminate their consequences. From "Toy" is an overbearing boss who forces one of his subordinates to sit with his extremely oppressive son, as well as re-educating his son at the end of the film. Why did I like this movie more than "Bachelor Party"? First of all, script and humor. He loses only the images of heroes - they are not as bright as in "Bachelors".
There are no complaints about acting. Frank (Philippe Lachaux) as a character his uncertainty and unsteady character does not cause sympathy, but such is the image of the character. It was played with dignity, especially on Philip Lachaux there was a double load - he is also the director of the film. His friend Sam (Tarek Budali) is perhaps the most memorable and charismatic character. Sonya (Alice David) is just a cute and pretty girl. I also remember Ernest and the investigator who kept making funny comments.
The action does not sag anywhere, does not let you get bored and think about the expediency of continuing to view. There are moments that are very funny. There are just funny ones. There are no boring moments.
There is no desire to analyze this film in more detail, it is too simple for that. I would advise you to check if you have 1.5 hours and are in a bad mood. You will lose 1.5 hours and lose a bad mood, which is expensive.
7 out of 10
Nicholas Benamu and Philippe Lachaux decided to step on the already pretty broken road. Films, including comedies, on the theme of the relationship too simple-minded and defenseless in its simplicity adults with too smart and inventive for their age children shot a lot and, probably, in almost all possible versions of stories. Among them, there are enough pictures of successful and not very good. In any case, to become a memorable spectacle, you need either fundamentally new creative ideas, or a very talented acting game, thanks to which the characters can become original and remain in memory for more than a day after leaving the cinema.
"Supernanny" will take place in this niche, in my opinion, exactly in the middle. The picture did not become a frank hack, but in general it did not give either an interesting and at least in some way extraordinary story, nor well-played roles, nor strong emotional impressions. The plot is schematic and banal to the edge, jokes are funny here from the strength of two or three for the whole hour and a half, the denouement, which the authors, obviously, considered unexpected and therefore able to plunge the viewer into surprise, disappoints with its "woodenness", so in the final scene all the characters are unconvincing.
The actors who played the main characters are not absolutely impressive: that Philip Lasho, who combined the director and actor in the film, that Enzo Tomasini, who could, I think, play his young hero clearly more interesting and with more fiction than he did. As a result, the movie goes to the middle due to the only good role played by Tarek Budali: hilarious grimaces of his character will not soon be forgotten. In the film, he seems almost the only one who enjoys his work.
There are a couple of really funny moments, among which, of course, the “dark” prank in the amusement park, as well as two well-staged romantic and sentimental scenes. All the humor “below the plinth” is already dragged to indecency and for the most part evokes not fun, but longing and boredom.
An average movie that deserves the same average score.
P.S. As a fan of "Lord of the Rings", insulted by the fact that still someone in the world does not know who Gorlum is! Ignorance of the law does not exempt from liability!
Even a movie like "Supernanny" can be quite funny. This is the fault of the producing country. In my memory, there were very few French comedies, which gave me a very unappetizing sweetness. And "Supernya" does not apply to them.
A boring unloved job, the absence of a loving girl, the same days - all this does not bring much optimism to Frank. In fact, even on his own birthday, he has to sit with his boss’s son. What could be worse? However, the friends want to pick up Frank and organize a party right in the hostess’ house. Where there is a crowd of drunken youth, there reigns His Majesty Chaos. In this mess and plunges the main character in the company of friends, but sometimes such a mess can be useful.
Supernanny is a youth comedy, but from the category that they do not overdo it and always know what to show and what not to show. The authors observe the border clearly, the actors are amusingly fooled. The result: the comedy was successful.
Clearly, now the “peeple” of comedy, where the main characters are not just in awkward situations, but really wild, dangerous and out of control, as a result of which burns down, if not a whole street, then at least someone’s house, and even the narrative comes from the first person, who runs with a handheld video camera for an hour and a half and removes all these curious situations. This is evidenced by the success of such American comedies as “Project X” or “21 and more”. So "Supernanny" from French colleagues is trying to show something similar.
The main character is Frank, he turned 30, and he is preparing to celebrate famously in the company of his best friends, but the boss asks Frank to sit at his house with his teenage son for the time of his departure, and he dares not refuse, even postponing a big drink for later. However, Frank's friends decide that the birthday, especially the round date, can not be postponed, and visit with a large crowd of friends at the house of the boss. The night promises to be long and fun. .
If we talk about destruction, there are plenty of them in the film. If we talk about ridiculous situations, there are even more. Each new action of the heroes - as attempts to drown in a swamp to get out - only brings closer to inevitable death. What is required in this case is what was in previous similar films. But the film has something of its own. The French are famous for their ease: and here it is very useful. The constant movement, occasionally interrupted by parents, talking about how badly they behaved towards their son, and jokes from a policeman, does not let you get bored, and the number of truly funny scenes can not but please.
I’m also excited about why the film is in the first person. Found the video – just the perfect situation to be able to switch from “shaking camera, which many do not like” and back, which allows the first not to bother.
Philippe Lachaud played quite well for this film. There are facial expressions, attempts on a good, ordinary, average boy-lover were, although the whole love story with the heroine of Alice David looks oh like a childish, despite the age of the characters, but jokes on this are built a lot, and many are very funny (for example, I really liked the song on the table and what happened after, hah). I also liked Alice, especially on the outside. The boy was not impressed.
The ending, as many have noticed, is too predictable. But really French, well, that's how kind they want to seem, what can you do now? Although this ending is even more instructive, coupled with all the words said before it, about how a boy needs a father, a real father who educates, and not a man who buys toys and sleeps with his mother.
Yes, this movie appeared under the influence of American standards, but in my opinion, it was successful. Funny, boring, fast - pass the evening the very same!

All these movies about crazy parties in a drunken frenzy are already, to put it mildly, tired, from film to film, from frame to frame, rock the same jokes and vulgar situations. But I decided to watch, still French cinema can present some surprises and kind of hoped for a good reason.
Despite the trailer, which is full of empty bottles, drunken faces and total destruction, all this party was given only 15 minutes, no more, the rest of the action took place without an alcoholic degree and with a humorous spark. But as a minus I note that in this short period of time managed to slip a couple of inappropriate jokes and some bare breasts, which was very superfluous, given the presence of the child.
Naturally, without moralizing was not done, and in particular, the promotion of family values, which was not presented annoyingly, but a little spoiled the ending, too it is predictable-sweet turned out.
Like all this shooting on a portable camera, is not a novelty, but to make fun of this technique is still able. All this whirlwind, shaking, and sometimes the loss of the camera prevented you from seeing in detail what was happening and the viewer had already seen the results of the situation, which allowed you to think that the film made it even funnier.
I will recommend the film for viewing, it has a low degree of vulgarity, sometimes decent humor, charismatic actors and most importantly, gives a good mood, which I wish you!!!
Mocumentaries in the comedy genre are not as common as in horror. "And thank God!" we say. After all, if in the tapes about some ghosts, demons or dead people who have come to life, experiments with “shaking shooting” have already definitely got bored, then youth comedies about drunken idiots with a camera at a head have not yet managed to cause a wave of complete distrust among the viewer. However, the picture of 30-year-olds is difficult to call youth: after all, 30 is the age when you already think more about family values than about cocaine and tits. But here, as they say, everyone has their own, remember at least Charlie Sheen. Meanwhile, in the plot, Frank, a modest guy who works for a major comic book publisher, needs to look after the boss’s child while the latter is away. In return for this service, the boss promises a long-awaited promotion, but here’s the bad luck: just on this day Frank turns 30 years old, and his bosom friends intend to throw a noisy party with blackjack and other mandatory attributes of a cool party. What all this ended, the viewer learns together with the parents of the boy, the next day discovered the ill-fated camera with video recordings of a stormy night in a dilapidated but still chic mansion.
Looking at "Supernanny," only the laziest will not remember the recent "Project X," Francis Weber's "Toy" starring the inimitable Pierre Richard, and Tod Phillips' "Bachelor in Vegas," which was a breath of fresh air for the comedy genre in general and for drunken company films in particular. And whoever remembers it will be right, for the Nanny is a kind of symbiosis of these three paintings. Here, French humor is intertwined with Hollywood underbelly, the aforementioned family values with the aforementioned boobs and cocaine, and talk about the most intimate - with an indirect heart massage performed by a parrot. "Bardac!" you say. That's it! Only the creators, honor and praise, do not go beyond the bounds, as it often happens in American paintings on a similar topic. Imagine, for a moment, that in a movie where everybody's hooking up, there's not a single scene where we're shown someone throwing up. The achievement is dubious, but very right. To shoot “hangover” comedies is an equaliser. If you miss salty jokes, you will get bored. You overdo it, it's obscene. But in our case, it makes sense to talk about an amazing sense of balance.
However, there is a downside to the coin. "Supernanny" is a very secondary product. In addition, he is also terribly predictable, does not always walk smoothly, and in the final is frankly banal. If you tell me how it will end, it will not be a spoiler. But comedy allows. Because I don't care about it. Because it's funny. Because it's fun. Because that's what the audience wants. At the same time, the handheld camera does not have time to anger or get bored, because Lasho and the company permanently alternate classic shooting with mocumentaries, which allows the viewer to enjoy the drive, and at the right time take a breath. Do you remember Carl Fredriksen? If you know this character, of course you remember him. The grumpy old man from Pixar's Up. Let me tell you a little secret: it’s here too. And this is the damn best moment of the movie. One last thing. In Project X, the characters are high school students with the intelligence and desires of high school students. In "Supernyan" - for the most part, thirty-year-old boobs with the intellect and desires of high school students. The only difference is that the former cannot afford strippers. Have a good party!
What are French comedies known for? The fact that they are really funny, and the humor in them is really good and not vulgar! I loved the comedy "Mad Wedding" so much, which you can even watch two or three times. And now I’m “lucky” to watch this movie. I expected the film to be relaxed and humorous. From part I received both, and from part, nothing.
The jokes in the film are really funny, but vulgarity, stupidity is manifested (it is unlikely that anyone will like to watch a woman of easy behavior climb up on a birthday boy). It was also possible to relax from part. So I almost fell asleep in the beginning! Could have been more interesting than that!
The acting game is really worth it. Philippe Lachôt came into the role. And in fact, I can not say that someone did not try, because I did not meet such a person.
I really liked the rather strange ending. At first, after the match, everything is clear. But here's the epilogue. However, in French comedies there is a good kind and honest ending.
I wouldn’t say Frank is so irresponsible. Rather, he became a hostage to a desperate situation. In it, his friends, one might say, forced him to hold a party at the boss's estate. I mean, this is the kind of friend Frank has.
There is no atmosphere at all. The spectacle isn't small either. For those who like movies that are filmed on camera, this movie is for you. After all, the French richer found the film under the sofa, after the defeat, and almost the entire film is the record itself.
As a result, the new film “Supernanny” turned out to be funny, but unfinished. For example, in the next part, and it will be, judging by the words “should be continued”, I want to see better humor and, nevertheless, more entertainment. Good to see you!
A 30-year-old bogeyman working for a large company sits on Facebook during his working hours and dreams (well, of course) of a grand career. One day, having gained impudence, he decides to go to the boss and demand a promotion. Naturally, as is customary in comedies, the characters will not understand each other to the extent that the boss will go to a glamorous reception, and the dummy will suddenly be in the role of the nanny of his 10-year-old and very aggressive son.
In fact, everything funny ends there. The formula “adult bolt + too smart child = comedy” is often used in movies. With varying success. This opus is an example of its extremely unsuccessful use.
But to make a good movie on such material, you do not need neither a huge budget nor a star cast, but only imagination.
Imagine: in the morning, the parent returns home and finds that through his apartment “the Tatar-Mongols went to Russia”, and the child and the mustachioed nanny and the trail is frozen.
Starting from this entanglement, you can make at least a cool thriller, even a sparkling comedy.
But the authors of this film with imagination was tight. The heavy story is stagnant, not a single really funny dialogue, not a single bright character. The plot is banal and does not present any surprises.
The brain finally makes a strange decision to shoot a good half of the film in the format of “mocumentary”. To make the viewer 40 minutes of screen time "enjoy" twitching back and forth the picture of "as if amateur shooting" - this is already 7 years old is not fashionable and not cool!
Actors and their dull adventures cause neither curiosity nor sympathy.
The French managed the impossible: they surpassed the forgotten film by Chris Columbus “The Adventures of the Nanny” (1987), which is considered one of the most boring comedies in history.
If you watch this movie after “Supernanny”, then there is a high probability that “The Adventures of the Nanny” will seem to you just super funny movie.

The paradox of modern French art is at the intersection of European self-sufficiency and the opposition of itself to everything American. The reason for both the first and the second is the very basis of culture - a centuries-old language that, although related to English, is constantly in confrontation with it. The French are so zealous about everything native that they invent their neologisms and even in contrast to the English "computer" invented "L'ordinateur". And since language is not only a way of communication, but also a way of thinking, it turns out that the same thought is meaningful in French and English - in fact, two different thoughts.
The comedy "Supernanny" in every possible way confirms the above and not so much repeats American plots as reinterprets them in search of an answer to Hollywood. Therefore, the localization of the name with the star-striped super, invading the space of the native Russian, sounds to a poisonous degree ironic. Taking as a basis the banal fun about a breakaway babysitter, the authors turn to new ways of presenting the plot, openly shameful from “Hangover in Las Vegas” and “Project X”. But despite the secondary nature, the resulting hybrid is harmoniously complex and does not cause complaints.
Compositionally, the story can be divided into restoring the events of a stormy night on video recording and commenting on it during viewing. In fact, we have two different films. In the first, young pretty actors, whose imperfections are so easy to hide by type-amateur shooting, pour out vulgar jokes in combination with sloppy random-hit and oop-down. In the second, recognized professionals in the French film industry bring these jokes to their final brilliance and give out really funny lines. In sum, we get a comedy squared: simultaneously dynamically insane and intelligently judicious.
It should be admitted that Hollywood template is not brought to the limit: there is no all-exclusive vulgarity in the film - it is exactly as much as in real life. The true contrast is clearly expressed by prostitutes hanging around the amusement park, and in the investigator, who, despite the bright mission, turns out to be caught in his vices. And no matter how much fun it is, sooner or later family values will come to the forefront and traditionally remind that they are the most important thing. And French filmmakers, each time mocking everything American, including the old Disney from Up, only confirm the archetypality of such hostile images.
The use of alcohol and drugs is harmful to your health.
I have always liked French comedies, but lately they began to lose ground, going to the ala-romantic Armantier Thiel Schweiger – Dani Boone. Now is the time to break down and correct!
By the way, cute couples, not cute couples, not couples at all can take note of his latest filmography:
Love from All Diseases (2014)
Volcano of Passions (2013)
Married for 2 days (2012)
Even with the series "The Hangover" movies in the format of "why leave for tomorrow what you can drink, smoke, rub, today", "Why my teeth are so soft, and you are so plasticine" and "morning of the evening wiser, but don't scream, head hurts" are dead in my cinematic musthave. Why? Because they're fun. Yes, devoid of deep meaning, this is just like your lives, but definitely allowing you to pass a few hours with the Joker smile.
The plot of this picture is simple and unpretentious, and it is not the point. Here there are no attempts with foam at the mouth to pass out unoriginality and banalism for a brilliant creation, the next Twilight, Divergent, Avatar and the like giants of popularity with an extra chromosome. The authors deliberately push it to the background, tragicomically returning us to a simple and unpretentious plot in the denouement. And, frankly, having already seen the trailer, every sophisticated viewer could tell exactly how the film will end. Are you hoping for unconventional endings and "that's the twist"? Pinch yourself, "Gone Girl" has been going to the movies for a long time. As a result, a small and unobtrusive piece of philosophy and meaning in this film looks smooth and harmonious, without collecting the snorting glances of connoisseurs and their volcanoes bombarding with disappointment.
The whole point, as my sad reader might have guessed, lies in rather successful, in my opinion, and often original jokes, and most importantly, relevant in those moments in which the writers give them to the audience. There is no vulgarity and outright idiocy, from which the facial muscles would stretch not into a smile, but into a dissatisfied pug. I smiled and laughed several times in my voice and in the end I was satisfied with what I saw.
In conclusion, I want to add that part of the film was shot in a format that I have recently loved “on the character’s camera”, which plays into the picture’s hands. A similar format can be observed, for example, in the films "Chronicle" - a fantastic drama and "ProjectX" - a teenage alcoholic comedy, to which the slogan of the film "Supernanny" "Without parents, without snot, without a tower" fits much more.

Go alone, with friends, with a guy / girl. You will definitely like it, because you will still come alone and you have no one.
Pleasant viewing.
French paintings have repeatedly proved their superiority in a certain genre - comedy. Their humor is peculiar, very kind and witty. I immediately recall wonderful paintings such as 1+1 and Taxi where you can notice this beautiful, light French humor. This time he did not bypass the movie Supernanny. I’m always looking for some meaning, inspiration, what the director tried to say with his picture. In fact, I had already watched such films about the carefree life of young people, murderous parties that did not end well and, accordingly, there was no sense as such, so this film seemed to me the same. But how nice it was to realize that it contains humor, drama, and morality.
The chief obliges his subordinate to look after his son-hairless for a day, and he dares not refuse. But, unfortunately, this day is special for Frank, as it is his birthday and all his plans are ruined. But his crazy friends aren't going to cancel the party, they're just moving it somewhere else, right to the chief's house. This idea seems absurd, but the flow of people is coming and they can not be stopped.
The humor in this film is incredibly high-quality, soulful, funny to tears. And often in such pictures at the same time with humor there is vulgarity, such films are just unpleasant to watch and all this flat humor is not digested. Yes, vulgar humor is the worst combination in the film industry. At least for me. And so this film can be seen not only in the company of friends, but also with family. In this film you will not see any vulgarity or flat jokes, and, in fact, nothing that could distract you from the main meaning of the seemingly ordinary plot. There really is meaning in the picture. In this crazy atmosphere, a note of drama flies, and this is primarily seen in the relationship between father and son, Frank and Sophie.
Actors: Interesting characters full of enthusiasm. Little-known, just beginning, young actors performed well in this film. They have burning eyes, enthusiastic faces and uplifted spirits, and they carry this incredible atmosphere through the film, and more than that, it’s like you are in the abyss of this crazy evening. More mature actors also enjoyed a lot.
And although most of the film was shot as if on an amateur camera friend, but nevertheless – it was done professionally. As a result, a very interesting amateur shooting was obtained, which did not spoil the picture in any way, but on the contrary, very conveyed the atmosphere.
In general, the film turned out insanely colorful, and most importantly, very humorous. I am very grateful to the French film industry for their incredible atmosphere, which they convey to the audience, for their beautiful humor, which is not flat jokes and all sorts of vulgarities. This film will definitely make your day and fill every viewer with positives. It is rare to find films where you can laugh from the heart, and even with such a deep meaning. It is very strange to see that the film is not very popular and to put it mildly underrated, but in any case, it is worth watching.
When I went to the cinema, I expected another stupid comedy about a carefree life, not even suspecting that the picture would be so worthy.
Frankly, I haven’t had so much fun watching movies, so to speak, comedy genre! I was lucky to get to the pre-premier screening of this film and the hall, I must say, was absolutely in solidarity with me, exploding now and then, bouts of laughter! It’s clear that the film doesn’t reveal America, and we’ve seen something like this in Las Vegas and Project X. But! Despite the fact that the genre and format of the filming are somewhat outdated, the advantages of this film definitely outweigh the so-called disadvantages. To be honest, I did not see the minuses, as the film kept and did not let go from beginning to end.
After reading the reviews of two critics, namely, Yevgeny Ukhov and Denis Ruzaev, I was somewhat puzzled that their criticism was reduced to banal “lack of morality” and, quote, “actual propaganda of impunity.” If you want to watch a smart, intelligent movie, then, of course, this film is hardly for you. But, if you do not mind a great fun and have a great time – better than this film at the moment in theaters you are unlikely to find. Unless you’re a fan of the Hunger Games. Because the level of humor in this comedy is very, very decent. And, most importantly (this is recognized by critics of the film), jokes do not descend to the level of top-level delirium, as is now often the case in American comedies. Everything is within reason and without excessive vulgarity. By the way, a big plus that the translation of this film was done by Andrei Bocharov. Those who are a little familiar with his work, I am sure will recognize the strokes inherent only to him.
Summing up - a great drive comedy, with an abundance of non-banal jokes, without unnecessary vulgarity, without sentimental hangings (well, just a little, at the end) - it's very fun to spend an hour and a half in the cinema!
