“Why do people cry? ? With this question on our planet got an alien from space. He is a researcher, partly a discoverer, a space ethnologist. And here's his new target: tears. What are they and what are they eaten with? The alien chose a completely unoriginal way of obtaining information - a survey. Well, who can seriously answer the question "Why do people cry?" with the appearance of a normal person? Yes, it is human, aliens can inhabit our bodies, and in general they turned out to be eerily advanced creatures. At this rate, he would never have gotten the answer if he had not met a girl in tears on a bridge ready to jump.
"Hello and Goodbye" (aka "What to Say Goodbye") was most likely created on the wave of the wild popularity of "Man from the Star". And if the latter is original, though not a masterpiece, then the former looks like a copy. But all this only at first glance, the idea of this series is more interesting. “Hello and Goodbye” is not about the alien, it is about people with problems and rivers of tears.
A strange couple of heroes turned out in the series. Surprisingly for the mini-series, their character is well spelled out and no questions remain. The alien is cute and cheerful, his acquaintance with the local population and their behavior turned out to be amusing. The main character of So Ha Na is aggressive and explosive, she has nothing to lose, so you can do and do everything forbidden that was not possible before. Thanks to this character, I liked the actress who played her, Wang Ji Won. Seo In Guk was as sweet as his hero and nothing more. I think he has more interesting roles.
So what's the point of this little series? Tears always accompany us, both in joy and in sorrow. What's so supernatural about them? The main character tries to understand people, people try to understand why life is so bitter. Why, really?
