Initially, the directors and screenwriters put the problem of kidnapping in this series, the series also reveals the usual teenage problems: first love, relationship with parents, friendship. In addition, each series touches on more and more new social problems (lies, betrayals of loved ones, misunderstanding, etc.).
Carter (Lindon) is a child who is not ready to hear: “Your mother is not your native”, probably none of us are ready, but she got into this situation and is trying to somehow cope with her. Through trial and error, it may not always be legal.
Elizabeth, as Caret herself says: “You are not my real mother,” but in fact it turns out to be the most native and similar in character to her person. Elizabeth is confused about who she loves and who she tolerates, but she is sure that she is not ready to lose her newly acquired treasure and is ready to do anything for it (like any mother).
David is the father Carter never had. But is it always good to buy something new? From the very first episodes, David has been acting suspiciously, as I think he is angry at the whole world and trying to prove to his wife that he is not a loser, that he is a real man. David even tramples on the feelings of others, but this does not mean that he does not love his family.
Laurie - "real mom" Carter. She is an absolutely crazy woman, even though she initially seems to love her daughter. In fact, this woman is selfish, who did all this so that someone would love her and be there for her.
I’m looking forward to next season, because that’s where all the most interesting things are waiting, but for now my assessment.
