We'll have tea before sex. The genre of the picture is an erotic melodrama. The heroine stepped as if from the pages of a novel by Gabriele Dannunzio. The social and detective components of the film are only the entourage, in the frame of which the viewer will witness sexual self-discovery and the formation of the main character.
Antonia, the daughter of a wealthy landowner in the province of Veneto, brought a rich dowry to her husband Luigi. The life of the young was not set from the very beginning, and the neurotic girl spent most of her life lying in bed. When her husband, having fallen into a murky story with murder, lay down in the attic of the house opposite, Antonia seemed to be born again. She eagerly and decisively rushed to make up for lost years. And especially sex. At an accelerated pace, Antony went through all stages: from the sticky looks of passers-by, the lustful paw of a casual acquaintance, the first unsuccessful experience with a cute military man to the first dizzying love with a local doctor. And then, without stopping, with a cigarette in his fingers, to bed with the inveterate womanizer Count Brandini. And even one of her husband's lovers. "Now we're even!" Luigi was left shocked and haunted to watch these stages of his wife’s formation through the crack of a clogged window. And when the charges against him were dropped, the couple met on the doorstep of the house with new people.
The film is densely populated, with many parallel storylines. Each character has a well-written story. Naturally, a lot of eroticism, however, very chaste. Quality work of decorators, costumers. The music for the film won the 1978 David di Danatello Award. The authors managed, working with such a frivolous topic, not to slide into vulgarity. Dramatic degree sustained until the final tragedy.
A high-quality sample of the genre that has sunk into oblivion.
