Burt Reynolds — Gator The logical continuation of the film “White Lightning”. Gator McCloskey gets out of prison and tries to settle down in a small town. Fortunately, there is a true friend who turns out to be the actual owner of this agglomeration. Everyone pays him and everyone owes him, and he has tremendous respect for Gator. Here, in fact, all the simple prerequisites for a tie. However, the idyll is somewhat complicated by the notorious feminist performed by Lauren Hutton.
However, step by step we will face our character’s rebellion against fed up corrupt stability. There it will be interestingly shown, actually anticipating "Taxi Driver." The thing is that Gator's comrade is in captivity to a total fascination with nymphets. Seeing the bewilderment in the eyes of a friend, he invites him to share a bed with one of the underage girls. And here we get an actual anticipation of the famous scene between Bob de Niro and Jodie Foster. Visually, of course, Scorsese thickened the tension much more. But the general outlines should be sought precisely in the quite unpretentious "Gator". Just in case, I will clarify that the hero of Reynols will not do anything reprehensible (unlike the famous Nabokov character).
But the conflict with the former friend is secured. Bloody and merciless. It is a good thing that against the background of this predictable war, a much more interesting union of macho and rigid feminists is manifesting. Once very easily and effortlessly, the hero of Burt Reynolds shows a very spectacular “tame with the obstinate”. They also look like Hutton.
So, for all the obvious simplicity of the tape, which balances between early Chuck Norris and the picture with Fred Williamson “Bucktown”, we get quite a decent spectacle, seasoned with spices. I will not hide the fact that the assessment was influenced by a completely unexpected explosion and a close-up on Bert, which appeared as if out of emptiness. Can you not see this situation?
