Tarzaniada. Part 8, 1943: Tarzan and the mystery of the desert. The eighth film in the Weissmuller series. Once again, Jane is in England and sends a letter to Tarzan requesting a special serum for the treatment of malaria for British soldiers. But it can be obtained only in an oasis located in the Sahara desert. Tarzan, Boy and Chita are on their way. On the way, they meet an American spy working as an illusionist magician and get into spy intrigues.
Once again, the creators are trying to bring diversity to the series. The film takes place in North Africa. Spy intrigues, Nazis, carnivorous plants and absolutely fantastic elements like a giant spider. In the background are quite famous actors Nancy Kelly and Otto Kruger. Well, the most funny is the scenes of Chita hunting for turbans.
Spy intrigue (in the spirit of the creation of the film), a bit of fiction and Arabic motifs in the spirit of the fairy tales “1000 and 1 nights”. As always, there is a lot of humor associated, as usual, with the tricks of Chita. It was a kind of mixture. For fans of the series.
