Oil fever Old Hollywood musical directed by Ruben Mamulyan.
In a small town in Pennsylvania, during a performance of a family of wandering artists, their van burns down and the actors are let on the post by a family of farmers. A young singer with a wonderful voice (Irene Dunn) immediately liked a young farmer (Rendolph Scott), who is concerned about the desire to find oil on his site.
Soon there is oil and the pair are married, but the film does not end there. Across the region, farmers, impressed by the example of their lucky colleague, begin to build towers and pump oil, but a new problem arises - the transit of petroleum products to distillation plants. Moreover, there are cunning businessmen who set the task of ruining the transportation of new oil producers and buying their business on the cheap. Against the background of the confrontation between farmers and not clean bankers, a conflict arises in the married life of our heroes.
A somewhat naive musical with pleasant musical numbers, still a little delayed.
