John Goldfarb, please go home! ... and if you can at all!!! There are movies that you watch only for some favorite actor or actress. This film was no exception. My love is Shirley McLane. I've seen a lot of things with her and admire her multifaceted talent: comedy like nuts, drama - please. To be honest, I thought everything was good and beautiful. And no... as it turned out... And even such a great actress was not spared "strange (to put it mildly) movies." This movie with a strange name refers to this cohort.
Plot: During the Cold War, John Goldfarb (Richard Krenna) crashes his spy plane in the Middle East and is captured by a local ruler. His kidnapper, King Faruz (Peter Ustinov), soon discovers that Goldfarb used to be a college football star. So he gives him an ultimatum: coach your country's football team, or Fawz turns him over to the Russians. Goldfarb accepts an ultimatum and teams up with secret reporter Jenny Erickson (Shirley McLaine), and together they try to get out of this allegedly "dangerous" situation.
In general, as we see the plot in itself is delusional and yet ... I ventured to include to witness the beautiful Shirley. Look, ladies and gentlemen, I haven't seen such nonsense in a long time. It all reminded me of the cheap horrors of the 50s... like some wasp woman on the moon or other nonsense. And Peter Ustinov irritated me so much on the screen that he could not even “interrupt” the beauty of my favorite. It took me 30 minutes to turn it off and forget it. Quiet terror. I don’t understand how an actress with such roles in the Apartment, My Geisha, Tender Irma and Gambit could act in such nonsense. Sorry, but assessment:
