Father for son. Writer David Graham has only one day to try to save his son Alec from hanging on suspicion of the murder of a certain Jenny Cole. But his investigation is stalling. First, Graham Sr. was in the clinic during the trial to get rid of alcoholism, and now Alec believes that his father simply abandoned him and does not want to see David anymore. Second, all the witnesses are lying. In this ruthless time, the gentle and polite man has no choice but to look again at the bottom of the glass. But what will return him to the dark side of the force?
Joseph Lowsey tells a very interesting story about a man who, fighting for his son’s life, is forced to face his inner demons. In dark corners, the shadows of Jekyll and Hyde begin to appear.
The main star of the film is Michael Redgrave. He plays very juicy, with a hidden fire that burns his hero from the inside out. It turned out to be a truly British noir in all its glory.
