Let the respected and honorable public not be confused by the name of the director of the film “Only not with my wife, do not dare!”. A juicy and tasty movie came out, fingers close. Perhaps the reason for this is the participation in the film by Virna Lisi, an Italian actress who separated the line between the earthly and the sublime, inhabiting both planes of these two orbits. The name Tony Curtis says something. George C. Scott is not the last person in Hollywood. But it was Virna who made this film. Not a single false note, not a single insincere look or gesture, not a single wailing line.
The genre says it's a comedy. And it's true. But there were moments when I looked at Virna Lizzie and I didn’t think of this film as a comedy. Two pilots fell in love with the same nurse. Pretty trivial story. But the pitch is so powerful and accurate, comparable only to that of tennis player Serena Williams, who with her crown stroke is able to demolish and sweep everything in her path. There. Two pilots fell in love with a nurse and... And it's in them. Both. But in the mid-sixties Swedish family, somehow it was not customary to arrange on the screen, and therefore it turned exhausting and unique struggle for the heart of the beauty. But it'll be a little later. In the beginning we see that she is already married to one of them.
What about being married? Here's what. They have been together for a long time, and those who have been married for a long time, as a rule, have accumulated several claims against each other. And if a husband lives a measured life that suits him for a hundred, then his wife (Virna Lisi) definitely needs renewal, attention and care, and so on. In this sense, one scene at a secular reception is very indicative. When everyone is dancing, Julia (Virna Lizzie) gives out pearls to the public:
Put it somewhere else!
No, that's not what you think. It's just about a corkscrew that her dearest husband must bring from a business trip. With such a stunning joke begins the picture. But she alone will make you laugh and laugh. In particular, a very interesting point is that the main character from early childhood has a love for everything double, that is, for all things, so that they were in a double copy: two handkerchiefs, two cats, etc. It is no coincidence that she liked two guys at the same time. That's what I mean.
To the category of not the worst jokes I can include an episode with an injection, when a nurse not yet being the wife of one of the friends made an injection.
- Lie down on your stomach.
- That's not my best angle.
In general, this is a very funny and positive movie with a slight shade of sadness when you see the eyes of the main character. As if a catharsis experienced the actress herself acting in the film. This is despite the fact that Virna Lizzie is divinely beautiful and not an inch inferior to the most beautiful women on the planet of past and present. If you are a little convinced, watch this good old movie.
