Wanted alive or dead... A girl's tears cannot be dried with a revolver.
- But you can always kiss her.
A confident cat's gait, a cunning squint of eyes and a face carved out of stone. Back in those days, Charles Bronson was the embodiment of animal power and magnetism. When his hero walks around the city and looks around where Schwarzenegger is with his Terminator. And it's only 1957. That's who the first hero was! And I must say, this title, Bronson with honor held almost that until the 90s.
The power of Bronson’s male charisma is such that any movie with his participation is perceived by the viewer literally with a hurrah. Even a little-known and simple western like this. I must say that the film itself (with its hero, character and even plot), painfully resembles the popular series with McQueen at the time, Wanted Alive or Dead. The scale of the picture, too, does not seem to exceed the budget of one series of this series.
But there is something that sets this tape apart from many others. It is not often you see Bronson in the role of a romantic hero caring for a girl, besides gently kissing her in the frame. And he didn’t beat himself often. Apparently, at the beginning of his film career, Charles did not have to choose and the image of Superman, always dictated to the directors, was still ahead. But we see here an interesting role of a living person.
