While hunting for a criminal, a gunman named Jagedy saves Marshal Barnet's life. When the shooter appears in the city, the marshal is forced to choose between the interests of frightened citizens and his duty to the shooter. The situation is complicated to the limit when it is revealed that the bride of the marshal and Jagedy were once in a relationship. Jagedy is declared the devil tempting the townspeople and bringing the city hellfire, but the Day of the Wrath of God is near.
A beautiful classic western of the 50s of the last century, the heyday of the genre. It’s a bit like one of my favorite westerns, No Name on the Bullet. Jagedy's shooter performed by Dale Robertson is a real tempting devil. Delicately and without breaking the laws, he shows the flip side of respectable citizens with their puritanical morality. Jagedi, of course. the central figure of the picture.
Marshal Jock Mahoney seemed to me a bit wooden. Mara Corday is very sexy. In the background, John Dener is good as a preacher and Jean Merlin, who played Billy, who dreams of becoming like Jagedy.
In general, a good western, a real classic of the genre. It is worth seeing all his fans.
