Pet torture kit. This is the third issue, released in 1958, and, as it allows us to see, the series “Tom and Jerry” finally entrenched violence and cruelty.
The confrontation of the grandiose personalities, who think themselves more prominent characters than King Kong, Godzilla, Alien and Predator, moves to the next stage. The stage at which common sense gives way to free desires to do evil. Wait, what's new about this? Since when do Tom and Jerry not want to kill each other? They have not yet reached the outright murder, but torture has been used so much that the inquisitors nervously smoke on the sidelines. “The Invisible Duckling” is one of the most revealing episodes in the series, because here the number of ingenious traps knows no limit.
The duckling returns, who pretty much battered Tom and Jerry in the 110th episode, only this time Tom already wants to eat him, and Jerry somehow resists it. Is there any pity in the brown mouse? No, she didn't. Instead, the fire of a great villain was kindled, who only knows how to use others for his own benefit. Did he really want to save the duckling? Hardly. Rather, Jerry just wanted to have fun again and annoy Tom, for which he uses some strange invisibility cream. But instead of the usual pranks that forgive children, Jerry and the duck behave like real maniacs, using a hammer against Tom, spitting watermelon seeds at him and other cruel methods of attack. Jerry is not just a pest, but a real domestic horror. It is frightening to think what the fate of the owners of the house would have been if it had not been for Tom's unexpected resistance.
Torture with smiles on their faces. Is that fun? In place of Jerry and a feathered maniac, only those who do not know any pity will want to present themselves. Tom feels sorry. Very much.
