Winners and losers Al's daughter is too close to a family friend. She plays with him in the car, his wife is sad. Something is wrong with this iron kingdom from the beginning. Self-doubt is everywhere. For example, Al's wife, who watches a car accident on television. What does she think about whether she is afraid for her husband or in the depths of her heart does not mind that this should happen to him Yes, let us leave such thoughts, after all, this is a sacred marriage and the wife cannot even think about it for a second. But then, after a while, she laments to him that he does not want to sell this place, which was inherited by Al from his father. But you knew who you were marrying, and now you're grieving and looking at the local Olbrychsky. Why complain to a friend, and after a lover about the fact that you are bored living with your husband all the same, most people are sick.
You're just waiting for the pretenses, the stupid men's talk about women and jealousy to end, and Al to let off steam. To survive, you will need to see two lovers cross the line, talk about friendship and immediately push all the pains of conscience into a distant box. Children are always extreme after adult mistakes. All I have to do is worry about this little girl and listen to adults with their constants. Let's get ourselves to the point where we're going to swing at each other, but then we're going to try and forget ourselves through bodily communication. But when the denouement begins, all the characters in the film are rejected: Al, who completely tears off the roof, who breaks down the doors of his wife and kidnaps the seller, the locals who are indiscriminately ready to arrange the trial of Lynch, and even Al’s wife with her weak character, who never understood what she wants from life.
The finale of the picture is completely justified. Al, in general, is not a bad person, and he simply could not do anyone physical harm. He just runs away from himself, from the tragedy to which his wife, who was not enough for such a peaceful and measured life, brought him in a good way. Al laughs life in the face, but his laughter is frightening, and it is rather his defense mechanism against the injustice of being. Marriage is a lottery, and this film is a visual textbook for those who want to tie the knot, and especially for those who want to have a child. But how hard it is to watch people rot.
