Lake of Love The horror film of the little-known Canadian director Maurice Devereaux “Mistress of the Lake” in 1998 I watched quite by chance, looking for some interesting and original thrash. The budget of the ribbon of $ 60,000 did not scare me away, although it is not enough even for thrashing, but in the end I liked the film madly with a certain touch of undergroundness, frank eroticism and a special atmosphere of a real nightmare, in which the viewer slowly immerses himself with the main character, a young artist, very well played by Eric Rutherford. Also at a fairly high level, as for thrash, played their heroes Tennyson Loe, Emidio Michetti and Christopher Piggins. The absence of famous names among the cast in the film allows you to plunge deeper into the strange world of this film.
Another advantage of this picture, which remained essentially unknown to a wide range of viewers, I can call a good level of directing Maurice Devereaux, who shot the film in gloomy and oppressive tones.
There are no special effects in the film, but there is a large proportion of suspense and a couple of really frightening moments.
I recommend this mystical horror to all fans of real thrash and I think the film will not disappoint you.
