A sad story. The fact that life is more expensive than money is a banality on which people do not learn from the moment of birth, their own and money. Once again, greed overpowers reason, and once again the end is foregone. But a new “continuation” is to be made. This is the drama, the tragedy of human existence, to which this sad film is dedicated (for all its time, none of the characters really smiled, except that they were poisonously bristle) with equally sad, minor music. It looks very good in the cloudy rainy autumn splint (tested on itself just now) and may well be considered a "mood movie." He does not teach anything (because teaching people that “blood money” does not bring happiness, an occupation, alas, ungrateful and stupid), just states facts and situations. But, hell, really sorry provincial librarian almost "Balzac age", probably fell in love with the former convict-threatener and dreamed of a "bright future." This is a sad French story.
