A sad story. My heart is not indifferent to the beautiful actress Michelle Morgan, so seeing her among the main characters of the picture, I without hesitation began to watch it. The film made in the genre of detective was a very weak production for me.
Throughout the picture we see a story from two characters, namely from the young artist Laurent Leno and from René, a woman who was the mother of Danielle. Danielle was Laurent's wife. She's been murdered and the commissioner is starting an investigation. Which story is true and which is not? This remains a mystery to the end.
The viewer will have a series of long, boring and endless dialogues. The intrigue, as befits the detective seems to hold, until the end of the picture, it is not clear what happened to Danielle in fact. But it is very sad to see how this tangle of three people unravels. Not the best scenario, the dryness of the narrative, not interesting dialogues are not in the plus of this picture.
For me, it all came down to one character. To Jean-Claude Briali's hero, Laurent Leno. His love and arrogance. Laurent is a man who doesn't love anyone. Women for him are money and bodily pleasure. He is a painter who paints pictures and does not hate them. His hero is self-confident and cynical, it is his behavior and actions that lead to the tragic outcome. The heroine Michelle Morgan is also involved in what is happening.
With all due respect to Michelle Morgan, Jean-Claude Briali and Catherine Spaak, the picture was mostly disappointing. Weak detective production.
