Rome — Paris Vincenzo Nardi works as a guide in the sleeping car of the Rome-Paris train. It is not only between two cities, but between two families. In Rome, Vincenzo is waiting for his legal wife, her slacker brother Gennaro, children, and the eternal Italian mess. In Paris, a sophisticated widow Jeanette with a daughter from her first marriage, who considers Vincenzo the second father, the French order and comfort. But the day comes when Vincenzo wants to send for a promotion, free from the work of the conductor. He will have to do office work either in Rome or in Paris.
A fun and mischievous film with wonderful actors - Aldo Fabrizi and Peppino De Fillipo. The first brilliantly plays the role of a Roman who respects only his own interests. The second is the visual embodiment of the southerner with his cunning, ingenuity, ease of communication and, alas, annoyance. Rome and Paris will eventually meet. And the fault will be the "Neapolitan lord", which has no place in any of these cities.
The film is little known, but thanks to enthusiastic translators, it is already available. Hurry to see and enjoy the light, post-war Italian comedy.
