My movies are from the trash! Are you in a girls' school across town?
(approximately 1 minute of the film)
Brotherhood 4
That is, this is a kind of (you can already say branded) trolling from DeCoto. What a girl's school - for the hundredth time, DeCoto didn't care about girls. Well, seriously. Who in their right mind would believe his characters were straight? They are not able to undress a girl even in a bed scene (let us say hello to the second part). No, we're not, like, a circus on blue wheels.
Let's just be honest. “Brotherhood” is the first ever homo-erotic-horror franchise (or series, who likes it more). An important point – DeCoto tried to launch a similar girl franchise called “Sisterhood” (we called it “Sisterhood”). I don’t doubt that, but he quickly abandoned it after the first part.
Why? Well, he doesn't like making movies about girls. He likes to show young guys with pumped bodies who spend most of the time chatting or washing in the shower. So it’s no surprise that two years after the triquel (in 2005) we got Brotherhood 4, the fourth movie.
If you look closely, DeCoto slightly reformatted the first part. The main character is a new student. Again, we have some mysterious brotherhood (where rituals are performed only in underwear, a-hee-hee, well, not naked), where he gets. The only difference is that there was no blood drinking here, and DeCoto decided to change the location. The first film, as far as I remember, was college.
Question: Where are the events of the fourth part? That's right, in a military academy for boys. That's all. Same eggs, just in profile. What annoyed me the most was the depressing dialogue. All right, praise old DeCoto for the (fuckingly drawn) zippers all over the screen. Allegedly some evil succubus demon. We must somehow justify the genre of horror.
The apotheosis of madness is the surname of one of the antagonists, the drum roll, Thanos! Shame on you, Mr. Stan Lee, that Thanos was stolen from DeCoto, ah heh heh. Somebody shoot me! Without laughter, do not approach the Brotherhood on a cannon shot. You got it right, not only for the fourth part, but for the entire franchise as a whole.
