A wealthy, eccentric elderly woman, Amanda Kingsley, spends her life saving stray cats and helping homeless people, often spending fabulous sums. This causes misunderstanding on the part of her only son, who runs a family firm and thinks only about money and profit. After learning that she could die at any moment, Amanda decides to find her grown grandchildren, who have long since left home, having quarreled with their father. She wants to invite them for Christmas, perhaps the last of her life. To do this, she hires a private detective, while her practical son tries to prove her incapacity to avoid changing the will against him.
A lyrical, kind American film with a very Christmas ending. Almost a classic of the genre, which sometimes makes you smile, and sometimes let a tear. Return to the screens as an actress famous in the 30s-40s actress, and later TV presenter Loretta Young. All actors play very decently, the plot is also not very dynamically developing, but does not let you get bored.
I recommend watching. My assessment:
