A film about how to end the authoritarian regime in the house. “Restless,” as I thought it was a second-class film, most likely failed at the box office. An example of traditional Indian cinema, it is because of such films that labels are hung on this cinema. While watching the film, I was bored (up to about 10 minutes of the second hour), it’s unclear (explained all the last 8 minutes). The time line on the site says 3 hours 14 minutes, which means I watched the movie cut down for an hour (I have a version of 1 hour 56 minutes). Maybe that's why it's not clear. But I think it's for the best. 3 hours of songs and meaningless dialogue I could not stand.
Chanchal is a strange girl, she does not want to decide her fate, her grandmother will decide everything for her, and she is happy to try. The whole family hates this behavior. And here's 70 minutes of the film showing how Grandma repeatedly screws off potential suitors. I thought sooner or later it was supposed to piss off Chanchal, then she in the course did not care who to marry until Rahul appeared (more precisely, with his appearance in the film, things are bad, he figured in words, and showed him only at the end). So with Rahul, Changchal has love, and Grandma is against it. And then she finds a scary, dark engineer from their family business. She liked the fact that he did not have a girlfriend, and those who wooed because of the color of the skin did not take (everything is suspicious). Grandma took Chanchal and she agreed. That’s when the most interesting thing started, which is why we had to endure the first part of the film. But I will not tell you, otherwise you will not be interested in watching.
Gracey Singh is a beautiful actress with potential, the role is certainly not a star. I wouldn't call her Chanchal restless. I have a different understanding of this word, it borders on the mad. But maybe Changchal's most interesting tricks were cut out? As an actress Gracie interested me, I think I will look for her other films, evaluate her performance, compare with Chanchal.
There are a lot of songs in the movie, too many. Clips are always like them, so I didn't look at them. You can watch the movie, but something is missing. It has no stars, but it's not a minus. Such a film with traditions should be with simple actors who know how to play. "Restless" reminds me of South Indian films, perhaps with its kindness and positivity.
