The triumph of form He solved the problems of others, but in fact he was completely confused.
And all because giving advice is much easier than following them and changing something in life or, conversely, returning to the old.
“Radio DJ: Love Live” is a film, I will not fear the word, impressive, and it impresses in two directions: its plot and the way it is presented, the form, and the second even more than the first.
“There are relationships that, even when they’re done, are difficult to break up. Something remains between two people. Surely the situation is familiar to many: you hit the dishes, kick out / leave, slamming the door loudly, file for divorce, and some time later you find that he / she is missing. And calls begin, requests to return, expressed more or less directly or not expressed at all, but clearly interpreted from actions. And in the life of the split second half, another person has already appeared. And even if this did not happen to you, to the greatest surprise you can find how the creators of filmmaking persistently work through this classic form of the triangle, diversifying it only by how one side is related to the past, the second, it is always doubting and rushing to the present, and the third – to the probable future, its fate depends on the preferences of the second side. Go into the same river twice? Stay on the shore? Dive into another river? Vivan thought about his answer for an hour and 40 minutes. From my personal point of view, I am not in general inclined to justify such a situation, perhaps because, in ending the relationship, everything ended and under no circumstances did I seek help, advice, or consolation from anyone who has left or left me, because I need to move on and let the other person live. But I understand the behavior of all three parties, the centipedes, the altars and the undecided. There is something romantic about this relationship.
And as for the form in which the plot, which has already been rather beaten, is clothed, in one word it can be defined as this: dynamics. Not only is the film not an atmosphere and not a feeling, not a path and not at all something breakthrough or profound, but it still moves rapidly, rushes forward with a very high pace, initially causing a strange feeling due to the fact that such techniques are not often found in the cinema. Close-ups are required from the hit, the static in the foreground is compensated by the movement in the background, and the camera does not stand still for a second. The film is not “radium”, despite the general background on which the action develops, but the goal was not to present the working days of the radio studio, nor to reveal the secrets of their kitchen. Radio Mirchi is just the entourage of a melodrama about the love of a radio DJ, and live broadcast is almost original, but not at full capacity applied intermediary.
Further, the exterior side also includes a completely atypical for Indian cinema method of splitting into short “chapters”, sometimes called with humor. And this technique turns out to be winning, it is justified by the result: the well-known plot is presented enterprisingly, in a bright style. Even clips don't give that speed.
The actors play their roles who are more, who are less convincing, on average giving a good level of plausibility, only allow me to note that the lovers of Himeshu Reshammi are still not good. But Shekhnaz Trisuryavala simply shines in his role, and Sonal Sehgal does not stand comparison, perhaps also due to the cheerful nature of Shania, who bribes with his openness.
Therefore, if you pay more attention to the appearance, sound design (all the films of Himesh Reshammiya are guaranteed to be accompanied by his duets with different performers, in this case, joint compositions with Kailash Kher and Shreya Ghoshal are distinguished, and my favorite was the solo Rafa Dafa Kiya Nahin Jaaye - lyrically, subtly, with a feeling), not quite explainable plot, while contributing to the acceleration of the idea with segmentation, characteristic rather of a teleplay, on unobtrusive humor and a special atmosphere, I advise you to watch "Rafa Dafa Kiya Nahin Jaaye" - pleasant after the tape.
