The latest film to date by Finnish director, screenwriter, producer and actor Sami Haavisto. It tells about a sect of devil-worshippers who are engaged in the abduction and murder of young girls, as well as the production of snuff. Moreover, victims are chosen from among black metallers who themselves go to their feet. Let’s leave on the conscience of the director the statement that all fans of black metal are potential sectarians and move on to more interesting things for us – to horror. There is little of it here, or rather almost none at all, despite the abundance of scenes of violence. What is happening is more like a thriller, and quite mediocre quality, since Sami Haavisto never managed to create tension. His film is on the verge of a social youth film like The Vampire Clan, and a mindless splitter like most of Andreas Schnaas’ work. In addition, everything that happens looks like cheap porn thrashing, like the works of Andreas Bethman, because, apart from the good forms of young actresses, there is absolutely nothing to look at. The beginning, however, set up in a good way. However, the conflict between parents and children on the basis of black metal, as well as the interest in the life and manners of fans of “heavy” music were quickly forgotten by the director. The main thing is to show him more eroticism and blood, and you ask for a social drama. Therefore, the line with the parents of the main character will be very secondary, as well as the police investigation, as well as the conflict between Christianity and Satanism.
Once again we have to state that an honest thrash or spreader is better than speculation on serious material.
