Three men and balls. Milan is preparing to celebrate the new year. Just hours before midnight, three robbers in Santa Claus costumes are arrested red-handed. Apparently, this is a gang that has already committed eight apartment thefts. Police Commissioner Irene Bestetti wants to get home from work as soon as possible, and therefore rushes to draw up a protocol. But each of the detainees wants to tell their story in as much detail as possible and ultimately prove their innocence.
This is the eighth film featuring the legendary comic trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo. Their colorful, ambitious, but unsettled characters in life, as usual, balance with brilliance on the verge of comedy and drama.
Aldo is a carefree, lazy Sicilian. He has two talents: cooking and playing balls. But Aldo is looking for an easier way to earn money - betting, and always loses. Veterinarian Giovanni lives in two families: one in Milan, the other in Switzerland. But it can't go on forever. Giacomo is a widower who cannot accept his loss. Moreover, he sees the same recurring dream in which the deceased wife prevents Jaco from paying attention to other women. And all three are really a team, but not robbers, but ball players! And their cherished dream is to win the cup, which has not been possible for many years.
You might ask, what does all this have to do with the Santa Claus gang? This is what Commissioner Bestetti will try to understand, which her husband and children have long been waiting for at home.
This is a great Christmas (New Year) comedy. And as confirmation, the film grossed almost 21.5 million euros, becoming one of the highest-grossing films of 2010 in Italy. Good to see you!
