Do movies with ideas still exist? I won't pretend to understand what's going on in this movie. It has a hidden meaning, for some it will seem obvious, for some it does not exist at all. It is optional, the film is well perceived at the level of sensations, it crawls under the skin, poisons the lungs with disgusting spores. And that's great, you don't want to be poisoned by controversy, for God's sake, you're going to be poisoned by some other shit. This movie is actually about poisoning. The main character is infected with mold, everything in this film is infected. The color palette perfectly conveys that. You can smell it through the screen and you won’t like it. Everything in the main character's house is disgusting and especially himself. As if the thoughts and ideas of the hero decay and stink. It’s great sometimes to break away from all these plastic and perfectly staged films and plunge into a swamp of shit.
I’m not saying that the movie will appeal to everyone, it shouldn’t, and for that I love it, it shows things that not everyone is ready to see.
A pixelatedly oppressive tale of life and death, of what it means to be human and not to understand it. Watch the movie if sometimes you just want to be spit in the face with something slimy and unnatural. Or you would like to spit at someone.
