The void As a teenager, I loved Step Up, especially its sequel, Step Up 2: The Streets, and it was an energy and a good mood. And I liked the actress Briana Evigan from the second part. And so looking at the poster of this with the permission to say "film", I decided to see what the actress is now acting. I actually saw it. I’ve probably never seen a movie so empty.
There's certainly a bad movie. With a bad plot, script, acting, but when implementing a film with a notoriously bad script, the director still tries to give something positive to the upcoming product. Make it better in the end. To catch up with the atmosphere, apply directorial techniques, catch up with suspense, etc. But here, in addition to the notoriously bad plot and script, the director did not even try to bring anything to the millimeter.
It’s hard for me to call Paranormal Island a movie because it’s not worth it. God is with him with the cliché, the movie claims to be a horror movie, so why wasn't there a single horror element throughout the film? In fact, not one murder is shown, not even a ghost that is supposed to be terrifying is shown properly. The whole movie is mediocre dialogue, like, “What was that?”, “Let’s get out of here,” etc. It's an incredibly empty movie. The characters are neither interesting nor revealed. They don’t get into different situations where they have to show character traits, they just scratch their tongue. I don’t consider heart-to-heart conversations for a minute to reveal a character.
The only thing to praise the film is for the juicy body of Briana Evigan, who shows it for no reason at all. I think that's what the film was designed to do, to show Briana Evigan's body. If you need to take a look at it, I strongly recommend the others to pass by. This is an ugly, empty movie.
